Information icon Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Jolly1253 (talk) 09:44, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Assassination of S. W. R. D. Bandaranaike

[edit]

Is there any particular reason why you reverted my edits? Was there something wrong with my version? Did you even compare versions? 81.105.46.48 (talk) 11:25, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have to agree with the IP editor. You really needed to give an edit summary explaining why you reverted. Reverting with just a default automatically generated edit summary, as you did, is tolerable, though not ideal, in the case of blatant vandalism, but not in the case of a constructive attempt to improve the article, whether you agreed with it or not. And if you didn't even realise that it was a constructive attempt to improve the article, then that is even worse, as it suggests that you reverted without checking what you were reverting. ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:51, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
