Sawtooth National Forest

Hi there. I started the article Sawtooth National Forest almost 7 years ago. Your improvements are impressive. I'll try and make suggestions at the GA nomination.--MONGO 02:41, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

I've never opened a Good Article review, so I will wait until a more experienced editor in such things does so. I do suggest a Commons page be setup and half the images in the article placed there. The article has many wonderful images, but there are too many of them. A link to the Commons page can be added in the references or see also section..the article has plenty of references and covers all the bases. MONGO 19:08, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

Help with my page

Hey Fredlyfish4,

I'm a student at Clemson University and am required to create a page for my english class. I chose to do a page on the Clemson Experimental Forest. Here is a link to the page http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Clemson_Experimental_Forest. It is just a start, but do you have any advice/suggestions? Your help is much appreciated.

Mt. Jackson and others

Thanks for nominating the Mt. Jackson image. If you see anything that strikes your fancy, let me know: I've acquired some noise reduction plug-ins and skills in noise removal (which I need because that sensor is pretty noisy), and would be happy to do cleanup if needed. I haven't gone back through old images to do cleanup unless prompted, but am happy to do so. On that trip a dust particle cemented itself to the sensor, which I didn't realize until after I'd gotten back and had uploaded some of the images. I've fixed the dust spot on the Sawtooth Range image, by the way. You're doing a great job on the article (and I like your images). Acroterion (talk) 03:00, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

I didn't even notice the Mt. Jackson photo was your image, and I forgot I nominated it. I really enjoyed it, and I tend to nominate images that I like that I come across in articles. I renominated the Sawtooth Range image in September after you corrected it, but after consensual review it was declined by a vote of 4-3 for QI status. Rollbacker

Hi. I've been looking over your contributions and you certainly seem to do good work here. I've gone ahead and issued you rollback rights. Please be careful with the privilege - it can be easily lost. I recommend you carefully read up on the what you should do and should not do with rollback, then practice here before using it. I'm confident you'll use it wisely. If for some reason you don't want it, let me know and I'll revert.

You may wish to display {{User rollback}} on your user page. Happy editing. Toddst1 (talk) 00:12, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

Hey- I've removed this image from the article. Even if the plant is a rare one, the image is quite clearly replaceable; immediate options would be contacting current copyright holders and requesting free release. If that's not possible, you may want to consider drawing your own illustration, but I understand that that isn't always desirable. If not, I'm afraid we'll probably have to go without an illustration until someone takes a picture of the species and releases it. J Milburn (talk) 22:59, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

Hand-coding

Hey all :).

I'm dropping you a note because you've been involved in dealing with feedback from the Article Feedback Tool. To get a better handle on the overall quality of comments now that the tool has become a more established part of the reader experience, we're undertaking a round of hand coding - basically, taking a sample of feedback and marking each piece as inappropriate, helpful, so on - and would like anyone interested in improving the tool to participate :).

You can code as many or as few pieces of feedback as you want: this page should explain how to use the system, and there is a demo here. Once you're comfortable with the task, just drop me an email at okeyes@wikimedia.org and I'll set you up with an account :).

If you'd like to chat with us about the research, or want live tutoring on the software, there will be an office hours session on Monday 17 December at 23:00 UTC in #wikimedia-office connect. Hope to see some of you there! Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 23:12, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

I've reviewed the article and unfortunately it requires substantial work to meet the rules for DYK. Please see Template:Did you know nominations/List of Ramsar Convention contracting parties for my comments. Espresso Addict (talk) 02:54, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
