Speedy deletion of Jensen 541S
[edit]A tag has been placed on Jensen 541S requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ukexpat (talk) 20:26, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Top tips
[edit]Hi. I've noticed that you are doing a lot of work to Frank Pullen. I hope you don't mind me making a few suggestions.
First, you might like to read WP:BIO which details the sort of things that should be in a Wikipedia biography article. Second, you could consider creating the page in your userspace, for example in User:Francis_pullen/Frank_Allen, where you can work on and refine your article before copying over to the main namespace. Third, if you are doing a lot of work on a particular article over a period of time you should put a tag on the article so other editors give you time. For example I was planning on doing some work wikifying your article, which would have created an edit conflict because you were also working on the text. You might want to put the {{inuse}} tag at the top of your article to notify other editors. Cheers, BlinkingBlimey (talk) 13:35, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've given you an entirely wrong page to draft your article on. Ignore the link above, and try it on User:Francis_pullen/Frank_Pullen. I notice that you've asked for help on the page I suggested (I've not removed that page since I think it's bad form to delete from other users' pages). If you perhaps let me know when you aren't working on the article I will go through and do a little bit of wikification to set you on the right path. AfD nomination of Frank Pullen
[edit]I have nominated Frank Pullen, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Frank Pullen. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. WEBURIEDOURSECRETSINTHEGARDENplay it cool. 19:09, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
I believe the article should stay as well, and I have gone over it with a fine toothcomb and removed the cruft and POV, and fixed the shoddy grammar. However, it is evident that this user (Francis pullen) came into existence solely to create this article. This is clear from the frankly offensive username. This is 100% WP:COI. As he/she has nothing more to contribute I suggest he/she vanish. 216.194.1.222 (talk) 13:29, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
- I do not think that would help, and would refer this IP user to policy. The username, although indicating a possible conflict of interest, is not offensive so as to fall within the guideline here, but may be confusing or misleading. I will be watching for future developments. Thanks. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 13:48, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Gretsch 6120 G- Brand 1955 vintage.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Gretsch 6120 G- Brand 1955 vintage.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
