Request reason:
I have been blocked because of my nickname, Frabot, which is actually coming from my name, Francesco, and surname, Bottigliero. I personally consider very superficial blocking a nickname because it sounds like a bot. Can you imagine how many million person around the world have a surname that includes the three letters "bot" in sequence in their surnames (or even names)?
Decline reason:
Wikipedia uses the naming convention that names ending in "bot" represent automated accounts, as opposed to accounts operated manually by human beings. That means that allowing other accounts to end in "bot" would be likely to mislead other editors, and therefore policy does not allow it. How many people have names containing the sequence of letters "bot" is irrelevant, because none of those people is obliged to use that sequence as the last three letters of their user name. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Accept reason:
- The instructions for how to request a change of user name are at Wikipedia:Changing username, but I have contacted a renamer directly and asked him to rename your account, as that will save you a little trouble. However, you are perfectly free to make a request by following the instructions on that page if he doesn't do the renaming soon. - Yes, no need to do any of that, I've done the rename. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 19:25, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
Need for a reliable source
[edit]I have been unable to find a reliable source to indicate one way or the other whether the Oscar nomination for the screenplay of "Roma Città Aperta" was in the "adapted" or "original" category. I did, however, find numerous sources which I would not regard as reliable but which all said that it was adapted, and none saying it was original. Can you point to a reliable source which says that it was original? In your edit summary you mention a Wikipedia article, which does indeed refer to "la migliore sceneggiatura originale", but obviously Wikipedia cannot be regarded as a reliable source to justify inclusion of content in Wikipedia. I tried checking the sources cited in the Italian Wikipedia article in the hope of finding something, but it turned out that that article is appallingly badly sourced, with one of the references I checked being a wiki, some of them not even mentioning the film, and at least one merely including its title in a list. None of the four sources cited at the end of the paragraph mentioning the Oscar nomination says anything about that nomination at all. (And indeed only of the four so much as mentions the film.) It seems to me that you may well be right, but we could really do with a reliable source that says so. Unfortunately Treccani's encyclopaedia is not providing any clear information. I'll check on this https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Il_Mereghetti. Many thanks Frabotti (talk) 22:34, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
