Jordan Maron
[edit]Could you please explain to me why you removed the background information on Jordan Maron's page? All of the information was relevant to Maron, and therefore did not need to be removed. Please explain.

Notice of conversation about you
[edit]Hi FrB.TG, I've opened a discussion about you here. Regards, Baffle gab1978 (talk) 06:23, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not sockpuppet of Prashant n I've copied the signature of Prashant and as far as working on Bollywood page to improve it just doesn't mean that I'm a sock. Just on the basis of similarity of signature or interest you can't block a user. If this is the case you may suspect all the users who are interested on Bollywood pages n whose aim is to improve them you may block all of them. You can also ask Prashant I'm sure he will decline for it. His location is India while my one is Norway, Thank You Franky! ✉ 09:54, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
- But you copied more than just his signature... do you realize how suspicious that looks? --Rschen7754 10:16, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
- User:Rschen7754, why is this user still indef blocked for "sockpuppetry" when there's no evidence of this? Beyond your "hunch" that this editor is "up to no good", where is the objective reason for the block please? The Rambling Man (talk) 10:21, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
- Because there were concerns that this account was a joe job or impersonation attempt. It does not seem that this is the case here, rather some... misguided choices, but I am awaiting further explanation. --Rschen7754 10:26, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
- Beyond copying another editor's signature, where is the evidence that this user should be indef blocked? I would unblock if I were you, especially since the reason for the block is actually false, and you have nothing beyond a hunch. The Rambling Man (talk) 10:30, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
- See the evidence linked to at the SPI: the timing of the account creation, the copying of the talk page, the interest in featured processes, the subject area overlap. With the information I had available to me at the time, there were certainly grounds to block all the accounts; however, it seems that this is one of those unfortunate coincidences. --Rschen7754 10:34, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry guys I guess I did these all due to lack of experience —FRANKY 12:06, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

He's telling the truth, his ip message to Rschen is registered to Melbu, Norway. Just extremely unlikely to have been anybody other than Prashant copying the very layout and signature at that time so Rschen certainly had strong grounds on which to take action, and I understand why he didn't initially go to SPI. Not that likely a Norwegian would head straight for Bollywood articles either but we'll give him the benefit of the doubt.. No FrB, the editor who you copied the user page and signature from was blocked shortly before you arrived here I think, so you were thought to be an illegal account of his. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:36, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
- Ah! again an issue on signature OMG I don't believe, it's just better for me having no signature I guess it will remain correct if I do a simple signature and by the way this signature is not copied from any one. I would request you to stop this discussion it's just a wastage of time. What nonsense, you are doubting me because my location is Norway and I work on Bollywood-related pages, your doubt is based on my location but let me tell you that you have no right to doubt me only on the basis of location, thank you. FrB.TG (talk) 15:42, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
- I'm disappointed with Wiki users, instead of welcoming and helping new users you doubt on them and your doubt is based on pity things. FrB.TG (talk) 15:49, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
Did you not read the above explanation of why you were assumed to be a sockpuppet having copied a user page and signature with a new account during the period that the editor you copied it from was encountering trouble. So don't come up with "What nonsense, you are doubting me because my location is Norway and I work on Bollywood-related pages" and "I'm disappointed with Wiki users, instead of welcoming and helping new users you doubt on them and your doubt is based on pity things", your location if anything provides a strong argument that it isn't Prashant but you must surely understand why we were suspicious? I can believe that Norway has an Indian community like anywhere, it's just the timing of this is highly coincidental... Happy editing anyway, sorry for the confusion..♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:53, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
- Franky, your claim of a 'lack of experience' doesn't wash when your first 11 edits display a knowledge of wiki-markup, wikitables, the featured article system, the GOCE request system, edit summaries and signature modification (and you copied a signature last used by Prashant in February 2013 as far as I can tell). My post on Dr. Blofeld's talk page, the SPI and block were reasonable in those circumstances. That said, is seems my suspicions were unfounded and I apologise for upsetting you unduly. Happy editing and I hope you have no more undeserved trouble. Regards, Baffle gab1978 (talk) 20:14, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
- Okay Sorry for any kind of confusion n sorry if I've been rude and I understand, anybody would have been suspicious by seeing my edits and thinking me to be Prashant!, especially at that time when I arrived here while he was blocked. —FRANKY! 10:00, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
Hello-
Just stopping by to let you know that I disagree that all the problems I mentioned have been fixed. As the nominator it is your perogative to close the peer review, however it is standard and expected practice to address any issues raised in peer review prior to nominating for Featured List (the stated reason for your request for peer review).
- The question of whether or not the way multiple external links are listed for individual references complies with WP:CITE has not been answered. I believe what exists now is an inapppropriate example of bundling. Basically you have one reference for each table, which appears to violate WP:INTEGRITY.
- There are still many dead links in the reference section. See [1]
- All tables must comply with MOS:DTT. You have put the (scope="row") parameters in the wrong place.
- Lead still gives a brief history of her acting career, which is outside the scope of the page.
As stated earlier, this message is intended as a courtesy to you in the event that you do intend to nominate the page for Featured List.
Regards, Rejectwater (talk) 23:03, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lat Lag Gayi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Romance (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi there! I have removed you from the list of participants of WikiProject Articles for Creation, as you clearly lack enough experience to operate in this area, as you still have less than 200 edits. For example, the only issue with Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Darius Johnson (wide receiver) is the lack of formatted references, not context. --Mdann52talk to me! 08:27, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- Also, on an unrelated note, you should use the Requested Move system to request moves like the one you made at List of awards and nominations received by Michael Jackson. --Mdann52talk to me! 08:31, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- Oh really would you please tell me what's wrong with move? and if I'm participating in FLC and AFC, I'm considered a sock. I don't believe it you're an experienced user then be happy with your experience. FrB.TG (talk) 11:31, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- It is a fairly high-traffic page (see also this); Such have to normally go through the RM process. Also, it was a potentially contentious move, as many are, and RM is a way of checking for support for the move. AFC is not for new users to review in; I started around 6 months after starting to edit, and that was too soon for me. As for the sockpuppetry issue, AFC has a problem with new users popping up, making edits elsewhere for a while. then moving in and reviewing their own submissions, so we are generally suspicious of new users around the area. --Mdann52talk to me! 13:18, 15 November 2013 (UTC)

Can you help me to understand why you reverted my additions to the Gong Show wiki entry on Fenwick Gotterer?
[edit]Hi... i'm fairly new to Wikipedia, but recently added some additional information about Larry "Fenwick" Gotterer, who 'played' the role of Chuck Barris on the final show. Its an interesting story, and provides a bit of additional background and color to the original info about the last show, and i also provided a link to a scan of the full email exchange i had with Larry at the beginning of 2013 (i blacked out his address to maintain his privacy, but he can be found online fairly easily)
Originally I posted the article without a link to the actual email (so it was unsubstantiated) but as I have now provided supporting documentation, I'm not sure why my changes were reverted? (and i did not see any reason listed in the change log)
I"m going to change them back, but if i'm doing something wrong, could you explain what that might be, to help me learn, rather than simply revert my change without a reason?
many thanks!!! Robingo88 (talk) 22:48, 14 December 2013 (UTC)Robingo88

- Have to assume you are speaking of image files, and those are moved in the same manner as article pages. Start here to see if you can move the file page yourself. If you can move it yourself, but you feel more comfortable requesting the move because it may be controversial, then go to Wikipedia:Requested moves for more guidance. Unless you've a really good reason not to do so, you should declare that your accounts are operated by the same person; see WP:SOCK for legitimate uses of alternate accounts. - I see you changed the answered parameter in the {{admin help}} template to yes on your own. Just to be perfectly clear, I am not an Administrator and was just offering my opinion and a policy suggestion. An Admin did not answer the question. Your Signature
[edit]Hello FrankBoy! I'm not sure if you are aware or not, but there is a policy WP:SIG (formerly just a guideline but now policy) which covers an issue with your signature I would like to mention. My concern is that your signature is confusing as your username is FrB.TG yet your signature says FrankBoy. There is a section (WP:SIGPROB) in the policy that says we should try to avoid confusion by having the Username in the signature along with any nickname we want to include. Personally I was not aware of this issue until another user pointed it out to me. As you can see I now have both my preferred nickname, and my Username in my signature. You may want to make similar changes to yours. — Bill W. (Talk) (Contrib) (User:Wtwilson3) — 17:52, 13 August 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hi FrB.TG. Thank you for your work on patrolling new pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I declined your deletion request for SZABIST Hyderabad Campus, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers, criteria for speedy deletion, and particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion or proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. Thanks! Non-free rationale for File:First Love.ogg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:First Love.ogg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ronhjones (Talk) 00:20, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
Rollback granted
[edit]Hi FrB.TG. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. [edit]Hi, I have the made quite a few changes on the page recently, and they kept getting reversed. I am associated with the film and am from the direction team. The changes I have made are accurate and as far removing the entire 'Reception' section, this was done because the film saw a technical release, and there were no reviews or any kind of reception. Sir William Ramsay School edits.
[edit]Hello, you sent me a message, concerning my edit to Sir William Ramsay school's wikipedia page. You then said that I hadn't explained why. Sorry to contradict you, but I believe I did! I'll explain why here:
I removed that section, as it spoke about the Controversies that the school had faced. These are two freak accidents that isn't relevant to the actual school. Therefore, it is unnecessary, and affects the school reputation. It is unhelpful. Also, none of the other Schools in Buckinghamshire, have a section, about their controversies, so why should Sir William Ramsay School have one?

Brown adipose fat study edit.
[edit]Hello. You appear to have reverted my contribution immediately having seen a script (Huggle) telling you that I added something. This reversion is unwarranted. I was not a 'vandal'. The article linked to a citation of a stress test on mice, and does not indicate a balance of risk and benefit in adult humans in moderate long term reduction in ambient temperature. All I was doing was adding text to make that clear. The linked article states a sustained 4°C low for 8 weeks, not a condition that can be applied to humans (it could be considered as a form of torture), so it is right to place a caution regarding that article in the main text on Wikipedia in this case.86.169.134.161 (talk) 17:03, 3 January 2015 (UTC)

Removal of section from Phi Kappa Psi page
[edit]Wikipedia has strict guidelines dictating that information must come from credible sources, and that the information must be verifiable. Based on these facts and the citations in the paragraphs in this section, it is inappropriate for these events to be at the center of an article about Phi Kappa Psi.
I read your page, and I assure you that this is no vandalism. I am also aware of WP:OWN and the policies and procedures of creating and editing pages on Wikipedia. I am also familiar with the section "Problems that may justify removal[1]
I did read the articles and look up the authors in an attempt to find information that Wikipedia would deem credible and verifiable. For the articles I looked into, there seemed to be nothing from police investigations, court testimonies, first-hand eyewitness accounts, or much else in the way of solid evidence.
I also know that there have been several discussions on the Talk:Phi Kappa Psi page about the removal of other content that has allegedly involved this fraternity, which have resulted in the removal of that content. These are listed on the Talk page here[2]
Ableader (talk) 17:39, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- @Ableader: Well, I don't know what you're up to, but at least provide a proper edit summary after you make changes, (that too remove such a huge amount of content verified by reliable sources) not just saying the sources "based primarily on anonymous emails". Or if you remove the content based on a discussion on talk page (or wherever), add in the edit summary something like "per Discussion at the talk page". You say that you don't have the intention to vandalize but please note that "sometimes, Editsummarisis are mistaken for "vandalism" in confusing edits as people will be questioning his/her motives". Please see Wikipedia:Editsummarisis.--FrankBoy (Buzz) 17:43, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

- Please settle down and familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's policies. If the information is sourced there is no reason to remove it. The article should not say that someone was born on "Earth" when there is a reference for the city and state. ... discospinster talk 22:05, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

Your reverting of my corrections to Miramax's page.
[edit]Hi there. I was just wondering why you reverted the edits that I made? The sources were all there and clear and I corrected the date, as had been done before by someone prior, and yet it was reverted. I have a close, personal relationship with many employees of Miramax, have worked for them myself, and have a working knowledge of the company's history. Could you please tell me why you reverted my changes? Because I wanted to change their Wiki page to reflect the correct date an agreement with the Weinsteins was made and also to give the correct amount of detail surrounding the deal using proper Wikipedia practices.

Re: Hungarian Notation
[edit]It appears the edit extending the length of the Joel Spolsky quote at http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Hungarian_notation#Notable_opinions was reverted as vandalism in an unduly bot-like manner. A human should have immediately recognized the edit as non-vandalous.
The reverted edit provides much needed historical context as to the nature and origins of the controversy around Hungarian Notation.
I have re-reverted the edit accordingly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.80.80.107 (talk) 12:42, 12 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi. I was hoping to target Kapoor's filmography next, but it seems like you have beaten me to it. :) -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 08:06, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
- Haha actually I did not want to work on this one because I did not want to interfere in BOLLYWOOD DREAMZ's work but he was inactive so I thought to complete his incomplete work :) --FrankBoy (Buzz) 08:44, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
- You mind if I tweak the prose and we can later nominate it at the FLC together? Of course, if you want to work on your own I completely understand that. -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 11:38, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Krimuk90: I will be delighted! And it is not ready for the FLC yet; it needs some tweaks which can be done by you. I think you can start your work on this and when it is ready you can nominate it for FLC, with User:BOLLYWOOD DREAMZ as the third nominator. --FrankBoy (Buzz) 11:45, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
- Excellent! I'll begin work soon and also ping Bolly. Hope he responds! :) -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 11:47, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
- One more thing! The lists you aim to take to FL, please list all in your page to prevent interference from me. Sorry about this one :) --FrankBoy (Buzz) 12:05, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
- No, no, it's good to collaborate. -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 12:50, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
- So Krimuk90? Are you done with your work on the list? --FrankBoy (Buzz) 11:31, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
- Not yet. I'm taking this a little slow. -- KRIMUK90 ✉ 14:19, 7 February 2015 (UTC)

DYK for Kajol filmography
[edit]On 7 February 2015, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Kajol filmography, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Kajol became first woman to win the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role for her performance in Gupt: The Hidden Truth (1997)? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Kajol filmography. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

Disambiguation link notification for February 8
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Salman Khan filmography, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Suryavanshi. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I have opened the peer review for the film. Please do suggest any changes that I should make before I go for FAC. — Ssven2 speak 2 me 03:58, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Ssven2! I don't think I can review this as I have never been involved in an FAC and I have a little knowledge about the subject but do let me know if I can help you any other way. --FrankBoy (Buzz) 12:08, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
