John Cena

[edit]

Please do not add {{sprotected}} to articles like you did to John Cena, as that will not protect them. An adminisitrator must manually protect an article in order to prevent new/all users from editing it. You may request protection at WP:RFPP. Thanks, and continue to take down those vandals! With regards to your comments on Melina Perez: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. FYI: Free use at Wikipedia means Free content which is free for unlimited distribution, modification, and application for all users and in all mediums, without restrictions. A screenshot of a WWE event (with a WWE watermark) is still fair use, and could be replaced by in the audence who took a pic of the same move. That's why the template is there, to encourage WWE fans to contribute their pics here. --wL<speak·check> 07:32, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, I used to be a member of WP:PW, but left it because I felt nobody there cared about article quality, back when nobody used ciations, and everything looked like PWInsider. I could come back if there are more focus on making encyclopedia articles. The reason why I brought up WP:MOS/LEAD it will have a serious effect if the article goes to good or featured article status. I think this diff would explain why it's important that Manual of Style guidlines are more important than WikiProjects. Maybe if I go back, I can help with the article format. It needs some work to make it up to par with WP's standards. --wL<speak·check> 07:42, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Mickiejames.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mickiejames.JPG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 17:47, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:MelinaVSMaria_0001.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:MelinaVSMaria_0001.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BigDT (416) 02:33, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Lisamarievaron1.JPG

[edit]

I have tagged Image:Lisamarievaron1.JPG as {{orphaned fairuse}}. In order for the image to be kept at Wikipedia, it must be included in at least one article. If this image is being used as a link target instead of displayed inline, please add {{not orphan}} to the image description page to prevent it being accidentally marked as orphaned again.

There is no 'feud', and I am no more of a Mickie fan then a Melina fan. However, I find you to be a mean and self-righteous editor. You also have a tendency to glorify everything about Melina, and give her so much more credit then what she truly deserves (why havent you devoted more energy to expand the articles of other female wrestlers coming before her then, who have accomplished so much more?). Yes, you definitely aren't the only 'editor on wikipedia', but last I checked, you DON'T own the rights to the Melina article here. And I will call out any editor I find who has stepped out of line, and impose a POV that is anything but neutral into any articles they edit. And you can't single me out either, there certainly are editors out there who share the same views.

I am done arguing with you: you're obsessed with Melina, thats your problem...and I couldnt care less about her wikipage which you've turned into a glory shrine now. The next I see you tempering with articles with your skewed POV however, especially the other WWE Divas, count on me to be there.

Melina's New Move

[edit]

Just because people disagree with you, doesn't make it vandalism. I have backed up my opinion on her discussion page, whereas you just continue to make changes and call other users "idiots," effectively making your edits disruptive. If you really think it's a DDT and that bulldog is vandalism, go change the pages of Big Show and Matt Sydal. Good luck with that. WikiFew 19:22, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

From the Editor

Welcome to the inaugural edition of the WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter! I hope this will be a good source of news to those people interested in what's happening around our pro wrestlimg community. I plan to release it every Sunday.

This newsletter will just be a way to get the community announcements to people who don't have the time to check the mesageboards, as well that to those just curious about the news. The newsleter will consist of a project news section (to do with what's happening on Wikipedia), and a current events section (relating to news in the "real world"). The newslette will also contain the Collaboration of the Week announcement.

That's all. If you have any feedback or suggestions, please post them at this talk page.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
