Hello, Forclassaccount, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Alice Walker has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 01:45, 8 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello, Forclassaccount. The article you edited, Alice Walker, is on my watchlist, so I notice your contribution. It is definitely not vandalism. Far from it, it could be a valuable addition to the article. However, the quote must have a citation to a reliable source. In addition, please consider the entire section and find the best way to integrate the quote. I really like the purple:lavender metaphor—it is very strong. Please try again, this time with a citation.
Your edit was reverted by an algorithm—it sometimes makes mistakes. I have reported the false positive to the bot supervisor. I imagine the bot is set for more sensitivity for Alice Walker because the article attracts vandalism from editors who may disagree with some of Walker's views.
Again, welcome to Wikipedia. Please try your edit with a citation. If you wish my help, just ask with a post just under mine. I will see it as I will be watching for a reply here. — Neonorange (Phil) 11:06, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox

[edit]

Hi I’ve just found a sandbox page associated with your account in encyclopaedia mainspace and I’ve moved it back here for the moment. I assumed it was a mistake but I see you left an edit summary saying it was ‘ready for mainspace’. I’m afraid it isn’t. I’d like to help but I’m not clear what you’re trying to do. You work looks like an article on Alice Walker but we already have an article about her, and we don’t allow two articles on the same topic. If you want to leave a note at the bottom of my talk page I may be able to offer some advice. All the best Mccapra (talk) 07:52, 2 November 2020 (UTC) .[reply]
