Username
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "FluTrackingTom", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".
Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. Alternatively, you can just create a new account and use that for editing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. echidnaLives - talk - edits 07:55, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
- EchidnaLives, the username is covered under the "Sara Smith at XYZ Company" exception in the message you left. Tom has also complied with the WP:PAID requirements on User:FluTrackingTom. The equivalent declaration on the draft's talk page is all that's missing here.
- Renamer note: I declined the rename request as it was based on a flawed reading of the policy. Cabayi (talk) 09:43, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Cabayi Understood, thank you. echidnaLives - talk - edits 09:45, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Cabayi thank you for your advice, and thank you @EchidnaLives flagging this potential error. I have attempted to declare any perceived/actual COI using the COI template. FluTrackingTom (talk) 19:40, 2 November 2022 (UTC)

Please share your feedback
[edit]Hello FluTrackingTom
I helped you at live chat earlier and created the section here with sources about 'FluTracking' just wondering
- On the scale of from 0 to 10, with 0 being useless and 10 being very helpful, how informative did you find this page?
- What improvements would you suggest to make source analysis easier for you?
- What is your further plan with the draft?
Please reply at your earliest convenience; feedback is important to me. Thanks. -- Gryllida (talk, e-mail) 21:01, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
- G'day @Gryllida
- Thank you for the time and effort you put into providing feedback on the listed sources of the draft page. I definitely would rate this feedback as a 10! Being new to Wikipedia from a content contributor perspective I must admit the process is not as intuitive as I perceived it would be. As stated by my user name and the COI declaration I have made, I do work as a project officer on the FluTracking program, and making our way onto Wikipedia is one of my goals. As such I plan to continue to refine this draft to hopefully meet publication standards. I will however only be working on this draft during core business hours between other tasks.
- I must admit that when I saw that there was a page for Influenzanet I thought a page for FluTracking would be warranted (especially in a post COVID-19 world).
- Apologies for the rambling reply, in summary to your dot points:
- 10/10
- Nil suggestions, your source analysis descriptions were clear and succinct
- Continue to work on the draft over time with the aim of publication approval.
- Thanks again, Tom FluTrackingTom (talk) 21:12, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
