Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada Roads/Ontario/Redirects What does this page refer to? I could work on it, but I am not sure what steps need to be done. Maybe you know? Alaney2k (talk) 16:35, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
- It predates my involvement, but it's basically all the "common" redirects for each highway number to showcase which redirects have been or haven't been made. - Floydian τ ¢ 18:37, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
ITN recognition for Peter Munk
On 28 March 2018, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article Peter Munk, which you nominated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page. Stephen 22:57, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
ON 59: Response
Hi! Thank you for your message on my talk page! I went ahead and changed the colours on my Highway 59 map to match the one you created for Highway 77. I didn't change the actual route colours though because the uses are differently on the Highway 59 map. However, if you want me to, I will be happy to do it! Thank you for all of your edits and contributions to the Ontario Highways! Cheers! Ldnontwiki (talk) 18:15, 30 March 2018 (UTC)

Request reason:
Apparently my company IP has been blocked. Was fine up until to today. I may have controversial edit histories, but certainly nothing worthy of a block. 208.87.232.0/21
Decline reason:
That IP address range is blocked because it's a colocation web service. It is; this range belongs to forcepoint cloud services. You'll have to disable that if you wish to edit. Yamla (talk) 19:20, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- We use this service to block websites. Things worked fine up until yesterday... why now? Has any bad activity been recorded from this service? - Floydian τ ¢ 12:39, 18 April 2018 (UTC)
- That IP address range was blocked on 2018-02-01. It's possible the service you use was working on a different IP address until yesterday. --Yamla (talk) 13:14, 18 April 2018 (UTC)
- Floydian I have grated IP Block exemption for now which should get you around the IP block. I will also email the Functionaries team to let them know, as this isn't my area of expertise, but know you well enough to grant it to you as a trusted use. They may or may not want some more info, I will let you know. Cheers, --kelapstick(bainuu) 13:54, 18 April 2018 (UTC)

Upcoming changes to wikitext parsing
Hello,
There will be some changes to the way wikitext is parsed during the next few weeks. It will affect all namespaces. You can see a list of pages that may display incorrectly at Special:LintErrors. Since most of the easy problems have already been solved at the English Wikipedia, I am specifically contacting tech-savvy editors such as yourself with this one-time message, in the hope that you will be able to investigate the remaining high-priority pages during the next month.
There are approximately 10,000 articles (and many more non-article pages) with high-priority errors. The most important ones are the articles with misnested tags and table problems. Some of these involve templates, such as infoboxes, or the way the template is used in the article. In some cases, the "error" is a minor, unimportant difference in the visual appearance. In other cases, the results are undesirable. You can see a before-and-after comparison of any article by adding ?action=parsermigration-edit to the end of a link, like this: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Arthur_Foss?action=parsermigration-edit (which shows a difference in how {{infobox ship}} is parsed).
If you are interested in helping with this project, please see Wikipedia:Linter. There are also some basic instructions (and links to even more information) at https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikitech-ambassadors/2018-April/001836.html You can also leave a note at WT:Linter if you have questions.
Thank you for all the good things you do for the English Wikipedia. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 21:18, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

- @Wehwalt: I was hoping to set this for April 20, 2019 to both commemorate the role of the highway as a protesting focal point for legalization reform (held on April 20th each year along the freeway) as well as to celebrate the first legal 420 for Canada :). I've added the article to the TFA future dates page. - Floydian τ ¢ 15:46, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Bencherlite: - Not getting a response from Wehwalt, can we pull this TFA until a later date please? - Floydian τ ¢ 13:12, 24 May 2018 (UTC)

Robert Melville Smith article
Hi Floydian, I have found and added more references to this article, as well as more information from those sources. I was able to find page numbers for references to him in the QEW book online, but there is no preview online of the Footpaths to Freeways book. Would you be able to either add the page number(s), or let me know them so I can add them? Regards, RebeccaGreen (talk) 11:56, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
jcon and QEW
Can you take a look at {{jcon}} and Queen Elizabeth Way to see why the entries for exit 101 isn't appearing? @Happy5214: if he can't, would you be able to take a look at the template? Imzadi 1979 → 22:40, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Imzadi1979: Halton was missing from the division table in Module:Jcon/data. It's fixed now. -happy5214 21:17, 13 February 2019 (UTC)

Hi Floydian, this is listed at WP:TFAP for April. I don't do the scheduling, but I've got a suggested blurb at User:Dank/Sandbox/1 ... any issues? - Dank (push to talk)

Lake Superior Circle Tour
Are there any photos of Highway 61 that you might want? I'll finally be taking my Lake Superior Circle Tour trip later this month, and I'll be driving up MN 61 and Highway 61 between Duluth and Thunder Bay before continuing along Highway 17 to Sault Ste. Marie later in the weekend. Imzadi 1979 → 16:28, 10 July 2019 (UTC)

Ontario Highway 418
Hello Floydian, I have noticed your primary role in promoting the articles pertaining to the various 400-series highways to either featured or good articles. With the recent opening of Highway 418 this past Monday, I have also contributed to the article to bring it up to date. Based on my observations on the article about Highway 412, which is similar and is already a good article, would the article about Highway 418 meet the requirements for a good article nomination? If so, would you care to nominate it? Thanks! TextClick (talk) 03:37, 14 December 2019 (UTC)
- It looks pretty good, but not quite there. The route description could use a little bit more than just the roads it crosses. The second paragraph of the history could also use a split and a little more than a sentence on the opening (I believe there was a ribbon cutting for the phase 2A completion on the 9th, for example).
- I'm on a phone, so editing is a pain in the ass for me, especially filling in references. - Floydian τ ¢ 13:56, 20 December 2019 (UTC)
