This is my last, well-meant warning. I will not report you for vandalism and insulting, but if you keep doing what you are doing, I am sure someone else will. Gial Ackbar (talk) 13:57, 10 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

To follow up, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a fan page. As an encyclopedia, we cover the important aspects of a subject particularly the content that is verifiable as having been previously published in reliable sources with an editorial oversight or reputation for fact checking and accuracy. I have reverted your edits to List of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic characters again, because you provided no sources that indicate the details you added have been seen as important by anyone other than the fanbase. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 23:04, 11 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I've noticed lately that you've been contributing a lot to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic-related articles, and I appreciate the work you've done. However, many of your edits are somewhat problematic, and I'd like to take a moment to explain why exactly you've been repeatedly over the past few weeks – which I will understand is the cause of a lot of frustration on your part; sorry!

  • Articles should contain information on a limited scope of the topic. In other words, this isn't like Wikia, where the aim is often to cover all aspects of a topic; rather, it's only to cover the most important aspects of it.
  • Wikipedia is not a newspaper. I'm mentioning this fact because mentioned that idea on Gial Ackbar (talk · contribs)'s talk page. The aim of an encyclopedia is not to provide details on every second of Rainbow Dash's appearances on screen, so don't make it so.
  • Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. Many of your edits added information which was relevant only to a single episode and had few lasting implications on later seasons. Most non-fans won't be seeking such specific information, which is not encyclopedic and is of little importance to those outside the fandom.
  • Please reference your edits when necessary with an inline citation. You have repeatedly added unreferenced information. I can't find what you're talking about in the first edit, and it's also trivial. For newer episodes, please add an inline citation in the format that is already used throughout the article.
  • No original research. This also applies to the above edits: if you have a reference for them, use it – it's marginally better than having none, and it actually helps readers like us understand what you're talking about. Many of the details you have added aren't within the show itself, and oftentimes I can't decipher the meaning of your edits, so if you could reference certain statements (like the first edit mentioned above), it would be highly appreciated.
  • Please remain civil, and don't resort to personal attacks. If you had an objection to my edit, could you have please notified me for the reasoning of your revert on my talk page?

Two supplemental notes:

  • When contacting someone on a talk page, please sign your posts with ~~~~
  • It would be highly appreciated if you checked your grammar and spelling before saving pages – it looks like you might be on a mobile device, but even so, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and should maintain that quality.

I notice that while I wrote this, an administrator blocked you for three days due to your personal attacks. However, I hope that once you are unblocked, that you take heed of policy and cooperate with other editors. I look forward to see you editing soon again. ;)

Thanks,
Cloudchased (talk) 02:50, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I want to reminde you that wikipedia is not a platform for details about fan-topics. Other wikis, like My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Wiki would have more appreciation for those information. Gial Ackbar (talk) 15:44, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to improve List of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic characters‎, what you should be doing is looking for reliably published third party sources that discuss the characters and bring that content to the article. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 14:10, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

FYI

[edit]

I question whether SHOUTING at me and threatening sockpuppetry is really a valid response for having your edits sans sources be removed as the notes in each section stated they would be. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 02:04, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you're still checking this while you're blocked, I'd just like to point out that the inclusion of Equestria Girls information in that article has been established by consensus, and that the removal was easily undone. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 04:50, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

List of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic characters

[edit]

Hey, I noticed that you reverted my extensive edit on the grounds of characters needing "general descriptions". However, do you maybe think that the level of detail is excessive? Like I said, no one goes to a character list to determine eye colour, that sort of trivial information belongs on the Wikia page. Take a look at List of Naruto characters or List of Tokyo Mew Mew characters as an example, both featured lists, meaning that they're the best of the best and should be taken as guidelines. Both of these series lists have quite distinctive character designs, yet neither really discuss how the character looks, much less the obsessive traits like eye colour. Instead, they give outlines on each character's personality, what they did, etc. Anyone can go on Google Images to determine what a character looks like, but the important information, what they did, is what the article should definitely refocus on. Thanks for your consideration. ~Helicopter Llama~ 18:14, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I mentioned two character lists which correctly describe characters, but the thing is, that's how it's supposed to be done. Note that those two are featured lists, whereas the MLP list isn't, and there's a really good reason for that, which is what I was trying to say. Maybe you misunderstood, but several others have aired their concern with the excessive detail if you take a look at the talk page. ~Helicopter Llama~ 17:18, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

With this [2] you have blatantly crossed the red line of edit warring, and done so against the consensus on the talk page that the article is full of cruft that needs to be trimmed. Please revert yourself or edit out an equivalent volume of cruft or establish that there is a consensus to include the volume of details that you desire. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 17:35, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

the "i am going to fix it later" is not acceptable. You are edit warring against multiple other editors who are editing based on the consensus on the talk. You will fix it NOW, or you will revert yourself, or you will be blocked again for edit warring a second time on the same article. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 17:49, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Stop it: You are violating WP:3RR. Gial Ackbar (talk) 18:28, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

pls don't tell me to "fuck off",, my family tells me that enough on a daily basis ;-;

Also, when posting messages to other users, it is important to do so on their talk page, not their user page. ~Helicopter Llama~ 19:41, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 2 weeks for persistent disruptive editing. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Spike Wilbury (talk) 12:35, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • To give you a bit more information: It is unacceptable to repeatedly make edits you know are disputed without discussing them. You have not made any recent attempt to engage other editors in discussion on the article talk page. Further, it is unacceptable to make statements like "If u don't like then fuck off unless u wan to report me go ahead." on someone's user page. Do you understand the intent of user talk and article talk pages on Wikipedia? This block is 2 weeks owing to your existing block record; if you continue this behavior when unblocked, the next one will be longer. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 12:42, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Fireydash21! You are invited to participate in the above discussion, linked in this section header.
