Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as Göram Grokej) are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. If you want to test things out, edit the sandbox instead. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. andy 18:00, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices, as you did with Göram Grokej. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. andy 23:39, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a newsticker
[edit]Hello,
I noted that you made several dozens of edits to Ligat ha'Al 2008-09 without no real change. Note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a newsticker, so such information is deemed unacceptable. Further, please use the "Show preview" button to preview your changes. This prevents the database from flooding with several edits for one article per minute. Regards, Hockey-holic (talk) 16:45, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 17:10, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Caution to work collaboratively on Israeli-Palestinian related articles
[edit]Error: The code letters for the affected topic area in this contentious topics alert are not declared. topic=
is missing; please check the documentation and try again.
Greetings. I'm placing this here based on your recent edits on the PNA article. This is a collaborative project; please don't try to impose your will/view on others. Do not make repeated reverts/edits of the same text, esp if more than one person is arguing against it; instead, proceed by reasoned conversation on the Talk page. Thanks foryour consideration. Best wishes, HG | Talk 22:29, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Palestinian National Authority. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Coppertwig (talk) 02:37, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Palestinian National Authority has been reverted, as it appears to have removed content from the page without explanation. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Pinkadelica (talk) 08:58, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to User:RolandR. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Do not edit other people's user pages. If you want to leaver a message, do so on the user talk page; that's what it's for. RolandR (talk) 14:08, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. Well, I'm not sure this is vandalism, because "Even harmful edits that are not explicitly made in bad faith are not considered vandalism." Nevertheless, such reverts of referenced material is unacceptable, esp after you've been cautioned to discuss changes on the talk page. Please reconsider your approach here because you may be blocked otherwise. HG | Talk 14:57, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Sockpuppetry case
[edit]You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Fipplet for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. RolandR (talk) 19:25, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Please make your case at Talk:Palestinian National Authority
[edit]Hello Fipplet. Your argument is worth listening to on the article's talk page, and you should make it there. If you keep on reverting the article back to your own version, you will just get yourself blocked. As a result, nobody will pay attention to the point you are trying to make about the capital. That's unlikely to be what you want. If you are new to Wikipedia, please take a look at WP:5P for how we try to resolve difficult issues. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 13:25, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Templates
[edit]You have included your User page in the category Jewish user templates; presumably because of your "Swedish Jew" user box. This is a mistaken use of the category, since it includes your entire page. This does not help other users to use your user box, which is presumably your intention. It would be better to create a separate page, in which you include just the user box, and then to list this page in the category. For an example of what I mean, see my own sub-page User:RolandR/Userboxes/Ashkenazi anti-racist. RolandR (talk) 11:08, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
- But you still managed to include your user page, as well as the sub page, in the category. I've added noinclude tags, to get it right -- it is complicated, I know. RolandR (talk) 12:47, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Olmert as Prime Minister
[edit]Hi. Olmert is still Prime Minister until a new cabinet is formed, which is not certain. Certainly it's not true that Israel has no ("none") prime minister. Also Wikipedia is not a crystal ball, so Livni's government will be listed only after it is formed. Cheers, -- Nudve (talk) 14:31, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with File:Jesustable4s.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Jesustable4s.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

A tag has been placed on Al-Khadra Mosque, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Habbouser (talk) 20:23, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Mensachristi.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Mensachristi.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:05, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with File:Haifamosque2.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Haifamosque2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Golan Heights, and removal of warning
[edit]I have re-added my warning from earlier, please do not be so disrespectful as to completely ignore a legitimate concern from another editor.
Also I have responded to your comments at talk:Golan Heights as I believe you are citing the BBC incorrectly with regard to their stance on the Golan Heights being "in Israel/Syria". AreaControl (talk) 15:27, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- And I removed the warning. Please do not reinstate warning that have been removed by the user, Fipplet is justified in removing whatever he wants from this page. nableezy - 15:35, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Please see Talk:Mount Hermon ski resort for my rationale, I am not removing the phrase "Israeli ski resort" for political reasons but because it is not appropriate for a commercial tourist attraction. It is unreasonable for such an article to even attempt to explain the governance of the Golan as it is completely unrelated to the politics of the area - that's why the completely factual and completely neutral "Israeli built resort" was accepted (because it's true and cannot be argued with by either "side"). List of cities by continuous habitation
[edit]Hi there. I'm sorry for the abrasive edit summary, but the consensus among the editors involved at that page is that the listing should cite both Israel and the Palestinian territories and that changes to that listing are disruptive. This is because it is not the place to hash out these political discussions. I think that your energy might be better spent editing other articles directly related to these issues where your comments would be more welcome. Thank you for your understanding. And happy editing. - Thank you for your comment. I understand that List of cities by continuous habitation is not the right venue and therefore I have suggested that we should look at how other articles have dealt with this as you can see on the talk page. Fipplet (talk) 16:56, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Palestinian National Authority
[edit]Hi Fipplet. Would you ming opening a discussion on the change you made to the capital part of the infobox there? I haven't reverted you for now, but I'd appreciate it if you would explain the reasons for your change and ask if others have a problem with it. I'm kind of busy with other things right now and would to have the opportunity to discuss later and give others the chance to do that too. I think its a little problematic for us to phrase Jerusalem as Israel's capital on its page without any qualifications, and not do the same for Palestine. Per NPOV, either we should describe both as proclaimed capitals or both as capitals full-stop with the lack of international recognition or the dispute addressed in a footnote (as it is for Israel). We can't do one for one and one for the another. Do you catch my drift? Tiamuttalk 18:04, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- About Jerusalem, please do not make blanket reverts without participating in discussion as you did here. You undid a number of changes unrelated to the discussion on the talk page, in which you have not yet bothered to participate. Please do. Tiamuttalk 16:38, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, I will join both discussions. Fipplet (talk) 18:40, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Nir Mansour
[edit]I am glad that you are proud of your hertiage, but Nir Mansour isn't on Madrid C. He's only 17 so he will be competing for a spot on the Juvenil A team this season. Raul17 (talk) 20:30, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
This has been discussed on the talk page. That page is not about where Jerusalem is and it does not say that Jerusalem is or is not in Palestine or Israel. The events were coordinated and carried out by the PNA, so we show their flag. See the talk page. nableezy - 21:35, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Oh I understand. Sorry for the trouble. Fipplet (talk) 21:38, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- all good. also on the other page: occupation implies control, control does not imply occupation. They are not equivalent but saying occupy implies the word controls so to say occupying and controlling is redundant to just saying occupying. nableezy - 21:48, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Sockpuppetry case
[edit]You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Fipplet for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. ← George [talk] 22:36, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Enquiry
[edit]I have recently reported User:Nableezy for edit warring on Golan heights. In his defense, Nableezy requested that we "Check with the users involved to see if they felt I was edit warring". Since one of the 4 reverts that prompted my report were of your edits ([1] this one]), I thought I'd ask you if you felt he was edit warring, or trying to resolve a dispute. I am quite happy to withdraw my report if you think he was not edit warring. LoverOfTheRussianQueen (talk) 00:09, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- I didn't feel that Nableezy was edit warring. He discussed and tried to resolve the dispute I felt, although he may have broken the 3rr. But if he didn't I see no reason to report him. There are other editors in the Golan article that deserves more to be blocked. Fipplet (talk) 12:37, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Request reason:
I was blocked for using a sockpuppet in order to avoid breaking the Three revert rule. I want to point out that I was blocked before I had a chance to make my case anywhere. Nevertheless, I understand that this is harmful to Wikipedia and sincerely promise that I won't do this in the future. I truly do want to make wikipedia as good as possible and I spend alot of my time contributing to Wikipedia. I intend to continue improving Wikipedia, mainly working with Israel and other Middle Eastern related articles. If there's any other article that needs to be improved I am more than willing to help to show my commitment. I do not dissagree with being blocked because of using a sockpuppet, but I urge you to shorten the length of my block since I really want to continue contribute to Wikipedia. Once again I sincerely promise that I won't do this in the future.
Decline reason:
The investigations pages (there are multiple instances) show you've been caught doing this before, admitted to it, and promised not to do it again. More than once. I think you've exhausted the community's assumption of your good faith. --jpgordon::==( o ) 15:11, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Possible unblock
[edit]Fipplet, like User:jpgordon above, I am disappointed and fed up with your behaviour. However, I never liked the "indef. block" -(it is like a death sentence, wiki-wise). And I have a feeling that you are quite young. Soooo; I promise you this: if you stay out of wikipedia for 1 year; I will support an unblock of you. And please spend this year reading some of the (vast) litterature on the Israel/Palestine-subject. (I assume you have read Göran Rosenberg, "Det forlorade landet"? If not; do!).
However, if you are cought socking again during this year, well, then I will not support an unblock of you. The choice is yours. If you are interested in becomming unblocked; place a note on this talk-page in a year from now (I will keep it "watched") and ask for an unblock. Huldra (talk) 18:09, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Huldra I don't know if you'll see this since it has gone 10 months now but I wanted to say that I very much appreciate what you wrote to me. Yes Im young, when I got blocked I was only 17 and now Im soon 19, and it's gone almost a year so I hope I will be able to get back. And yes Im very interested in becoming unblocked, so if you want to support an unblock of me I would be very happy. By the way, I've realized that if I come back it'll be a good idea to stay out of politics especially regarding to the middle east.
- Again I truly appreciate this!
- Thank you Huldra. Fipplet 20:29, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Fipplet; I have just come back after nearly 1/2 years break myself ("Real Life" affairs, etc), so I just noticed this. Yes, if you are still around (and have been "a good boy", i.e. no socking) --then I will support an unblock of you. Cheers, Huldra (talk) 14:32, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
- I just requested an unblock, and yes I've been a very good boy! Not once editing! Anyway I really appreciate this. And if you wonder what I've been doing this year it is learning Arabic. So شكرا أختي!
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Fipplet! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 2 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Akkomosque.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Akkomosque.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Kelly hi! 13:51, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, but the licensing on that image is incompatible with usage on Wikipedia.--SPhilbrickT 17:23, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Unblock
[edit]Fipplet (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
It was over a year since I was blocked from Wikipedia. I humbly ask you if there's a possibility to allow me back. I don't have much to say other than that I of course haven't done a single edit(socking) since. And it has gone over a year; I won't say that I am a totally different person but I have matured alot. Finally, if I'm unblocked I will stay out of articles with heated discussions and focus on smaller articles such as churches in Israel and similar. Thanks alot! Fipplet 13:31, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
Accept reason:
I am not 100% sure about unblocking an editor who has committed the same offence several times, continuing after promising not to do it again. However, quite a time has passed, and people can change, so I am willing to give you another chance. I am unblocking you, but on the understanding that you may be blocked again without further warning if there is any repetition of the types of editing which caused problems in the past, such as edit warring or sockpuppetry. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:57, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
Thanks alot! Fipplet 14:00, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Fipplet! Congratulations on the unblock. I remember that you wrote quite a bit about places of worship in Israel, and was wondering if you could help the WikiProject by adding geographical data to as many of these articles as you can. Many of them are about places of worship or otherwise related to religion, including: Abdeen Mosque, Al-Buraq mosque, Jerusalem School of Synoptic Research, Seraya and Yeshivat Ohr David. Thanks in advance, —Ynhockey (Talk) 10:36, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Mensachristi.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Mensachristi.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T/C) 22:15, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Hechal Yehuda.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Hechal Yehuda.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T/C) 22:16, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
Ein Avdat and Al-Muallaq Mosque
[edit]Hi, I've noticed that significant portions of the text in the Ein Avdat article which you created are identical to the text found here and here, which means they could possibly be copyright violations. Likewise the text in the Al-Muallaq Mosque is identical to the text found here. In this one I don't know what the status of the website is so it could be in public domain. I've raised this here and here.Volunteer Marek (talk) 06:03, 26 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:03, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
