Hello, Fgordillo, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Sploonch, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

A tag has been placed on Sploonch, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.  -- Lear's Fool (talk | contribs) 15:42, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mr. Gordillo: I have deleted your article because you were in essence advertising your store. Your article seemed to be neither an article solely about your store nor about your view on consumerism. I think your webstore might warrant an article if you could establish notability based on the guidelines for businesses at WP:CORP (tho I must warn you that writing about something you are connected with usually doesn't turn out well, see WP:COI). Please do not attempt to recreate the article without addressing our concerns, as it may be deleted again. I hope that this is helpful to you. Syrthiss (talk) 17:04, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thank you for your post. I'm sorry if my article wasn't good enough, I'm new here and don't really know ho to add it in an appropriate way. Where can I find guidelines regarding what the best way to portray the company? Where can I find guidelines to properly convey how Sploonch tries to improve the current "Paradox of Choice" effect within mobile apps consumers? (should this be a separate article) I'd also like to include Sploonch in the list of mobile digital distributors and in general all sources related to that activity within Wikipedia, Can I do this? How should I go about it? Is there anyone who can guide me in submitting appropriate content addressing the above stated? I really do appreciate Wikipedia, and I fully understand the "non-commercial" implications of its content, anyhow, if I've decided to include Sploonch here its because of two reasons; 1) its a serious company 2) a player in a relevant technological niche such as mobile apps distribution, therefore I think its insertion adds value to the encyclopedic content regarding mobile apps and the like. Thank you for your time!!Fgordillo (talk) 17:20, 29 April 2010 (UTC)fgordillo[reply]
By the way, is there a source where I can access the erased page? Thx :) Fgordillo (talk) 17:22, 29 April 2010 (UTC)fgordillo[reply]
(1) I have placed the content that was deleted (minus the deletion templates) at User:Fgordillo/Sploonch. You can edit the article there until you feel it is ready for posting to the main sections of wikipedia.
(2) I'd take a look at Wikipedia:Your first article if you haven't already, and take a look at some of the pages here for other companies as well as the linked guidelines for corporations. I'm unsure how to incorporate the Paradox of Choice bit, frankly. Unless it has been documented in independent outside sources (I think you did link where it came from) it is likely to be viewed as original research and deleted. You are welcome to drop a note on my talk page User talk:Syrthiss to take a look at the article when you get it to a state where you think you need advice. Essentially, my advice would be to find reliable sources external to you that show why your company is notable. Newspaper articles (not press releases) that list you as one of the top 10 startups from 2009, or something like that, and start the article small with just that. If you can establish notability, then you (and others) can expand from there. Cheers. Syrthiss (talk) 17:35, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much for your help, I will follow your advice and prepare a draft page and show it to you. I'll set up something very simple to see if its "postable" and then take it from there. As we're a startup and have been running on stealth mode we haven't started generating external referrals yet, the "trial" we've done regarding PR is an article, but its in Spanish, would this do as a source of relevance? Thx again for your advice, I really do appreciate!Fgordillo (talk) 03:41, 30 April 2010 (UTC)fgordillo[reply]

We could likely arrange to find another Spanish-speaking editor here who could review it. I could try to review it using a google translation, but that would likely only give me the general sense of it. I'm concerned that if you've been running in stealth mode that you may not yet be notable enough, but we'll see. Worst case, you can always come back later to make an article. Syrthiss (talk) 11:52, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thx for your advice, let's do something , I'll try write the page for the Spanish version of Wikipedia, and leave this one on Stand by, that way we'll see if its notable enough for the Spanish editors, and as of there see if its notable enough for the english speaking site. I'm in the process of setting up the PR-Communications team and so we shouldn't have too much trouble generating some exposure in order to increase our notability. Does this sound allright to you? Do you think its an appropriate course of action? Thx a million again! :)Fgordillo (talk) 21:18, 1 May 2010 (UTC)Fgordillo[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Moulin Rouge. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Graham87 14:38, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to George Orwell. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. It appears you are trying to use Wikipedia to promote your personal blog/webnews site. This likely constitutes a conflict of interest and is not allowed. — UncleBubba T @ C ) 15:37, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, my bad. I'll read the guidleines. Thank you for your help. I just love documentaries and stuff like that :)

You've deleted all my contributions? :0 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fgordillo (talkcontribs) 16:57, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I deleted all your contributions. In particular, Wikipedia prohibits external links to material that violates copyright, like the links that you posted. Graham87 01:27, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
