[edit]Hello, I'm Takeaway. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to 2010 Thai political protests seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Takeaway (talk) 08:52, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did to 2010 Thai political protests, without verifying it by citing reliable sources. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - Takeaway (talk) 13:09, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

Hello Takeaway - Thx. for your response. Your edits as mentioned in above message are Ok with me, although I could educate those less involved within this Thai Political divide, as to the validity of my characterizations. With respect to your other comments, I need to clarify strongly that my knowledge is not based on "Bulletin Boards" as you suggest. My edits and input are a demonstration of my in-depth, experiential involvement with both sides of this Political divide. Not merely a pawn of the propagandistic domestic, anti-UDD media (Bangkok Post, Nation, ASTV,TV.com) as most native, English speakers are. Let me emphasize - I have my feet firmly rooted in both camps experientially, and accordingly can confidently assert that I represent both sides, as I have in-depth knowledge. In fact, I would equally assert that all quotes and verification based on the BKK. Post, Nation, ASTV should be eliminated. They are propagandistic organs from one side of the Political divide, and I don't need to tell you which side. The eggregious stuff I deleted from those sources, speak to this assertion clearly. A true effort of editting in my view would eliminate all such quotes. But I have refrained from doing that in an effort at neutrality. I will read Wikipedia verifiability as you suggest, but at the same time have difficulty accepting burying truthfullness in administrivia and legalities of Wikipedia. is this our best way to communicate Takeaway? Can we not do it via E-mail....One other question Takeaway, are you involved in any way, either via simple readership, or participation in discussions and posts, on ThaiVisa.com? For the sake of transparency, can we ascertain that, so I know what I am dealing with.
- Please continue the discussion on Talk:2010 Thai political protests. - Takeaway (talk) 11:15, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
About Your Comments on my User Talk Page
[edit]Where are the more detailed comments that you were talking about? Also, are you asking me for help with making articles more neutral and encyclopedic? Hadger 03:28, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
By the way, I see on your user page that you are interested in being adopted. I'll adopt you if that's fine with you. :D Hadger 03:43, 20 November 2012 (UTC) Hello Hadger - I would really, really appreciate your adoption Hadger. Sounds like an orphanage - LOL.... I wrote the more detailed comments on your talk page Hadger......I need to improve my functionality on this communication thing......Did I do that correctly? I found your talk page, and added the detailed comments. As my comments stated Hadger, I am being challenged about my lack of nuetrality, and am getting stymied countering it. The article in question is considered extremely nuetral by its' authors, so by definition, when I suggest opposite alternatives, I must be non-nuetral. They are blocking all attempts at balancing things out. I need someone to guide me, to keep me on the "nuetral" straight and narrow so to speak, so that when this is opposed, I can be confident that I am OK. Also Hadger, I would like some preliminary discussions to contextualize things, so that what I wish to change/rewrite is understood, as to where I am coming from. Can we do that via E-mail, and then revert here when we are agreed on the facts and major themes that are at play. The article is called "2010 Thai Political Protests".... I wouldn't mind ignoring all my previous attempts and comments that have been challenged with respect to their nuetrality, and start fresh, with someone looking over my shoulder. BTW, I am a Canadian, political junkie with an American Poly-Sci. degree, retired in Thailand, and married to a Thai Democracy activist.

Please stop your accusations
[edit]Please stop accusing me of being a PAD sympathiser. That I do not concur with your pro-UDD biased views does not automatically make me a PAD sympathiser as you have stated here, here, and here. You know nothing about my background, and your opinions about me are wholly unfounded and based only on paranoid assumptions due to my opposition to your unsourced edits. I have also already answered you as to what my connection is to the 2010 Thai political upheaval. You apparently chose to ignore that so I will repeat it again, this time more clearly-> please have a look at the photos I made during the military crackdown. Especially read my commentary on this photo.
The article "2010 Thai political protests" is a more or less factual account of what happened. The article is neutral in that it avoids tendentious adjectives such as you wanted to insert into the article with, for instance, this edit. In addition, per Wikipedia rules, information needs to be backed by reliable third party sources. As this is an article on a serious matter, citing sources is an absolute must. Wikipedia can not accept any edits relying only on your statement that you are an expert. As I have pointed out before, original research is not allowed per Wikipedia rules. - Takeaway (talk) 09:51, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
About the Adoption
[edit]Now that I've thought about it a bit harder, if you don't want me to be your mentor, I won't be your mentor. It seems like John F. Lewis would be a better mentor for you, anyways (he's removed his message, so I'm not sure if he really wants to be a mentor at the time). There are probably people you can find who have more knowledge on the subject you're interested in. Anyways, if you don't want me to be your mentor, that's fine. :) Hadger 22:37, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
- Hey Hadger, I removed my message as it seems he already arranged to be mentored by you, Now it appeared he has not, he messaged me on my talk page (And after clean up with headings) I believe he has confirmed to accept me as a mentor. So unless he has any last minute problem, I will be changing his userpage and create a page. Anyhow, all I can say is thank you for the adoption offer your forwarded (I guess) to him. John F. Lewis (talk) 18:06, 21 November 2012 (UTC)

I guess just a general notice. I assume you wish to be mentored by me, So I'll start the process. John F. Lewis (talk) 18:07, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
- Hey Ferwert, You can now access your page at User:John_F._Lewis/Adopt/Ferwert. Read the text currently at the page and then create the Talkpage asking for a test if you fully understand the Five Pillars. Just a quick bit of information, I will mark your answers with one of four templates. You can find this information at User:John F. Lewis/Adopt/Marking. Thanks John F. Adoption redo
[edit]Hey Ferwert, I have redone the adoption system in the hope it is much better now. You can go to the adoption centre (User:John F. Lewis/Adopt) and view the lessons. Each lesson should have a section called 'Assignment'. Please follow the instructions listed in that section and contact me once it is done so you can be marked and graded.
Just as a little note: To pass you need to achieve 85% overall. 50% will be your adoption work (All required lessons + one optional) and 50% will be your final exam. You can track your progress on your adoption page. Any problems, Contact me. You could (If your a quick reader) get most of the lesson work done within 24 hours as you just need to do it and provide evidence to me via my talk page. So, Have a nice day then Ferwert, John F. Lewis (talk) 22:44, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
