Thanks for uploading File:Logo of FC Bolat.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Rationale (or absence thereof) for Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Marcel Rewenig
You closed this discussion as "keep", without comment, despite multiple people highlighting that the subject did not (and still does not, despite furious protestations that the subject is "notable") meet the actual inclusion criteria (which is and always has been WP:GNG, as NSPORTS itself clearly says). Care to explain the reasoning behind your close? It seems clear to me that WP:NOTAVOTE should have been taken into consideration and there are a fair few comments which are essentially nothing more than "Keep - passes NFOOTY" which do not address the the concerns about the lack of GNG. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 16:37, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
- I must admit, looking back over the AfD, the closure of just "keep" without any closing rationale was perhaps questionable, especially as the discussion was still very much ongoing right up to the point of closure. I did make a comment in the AfD and although I have further expanded the article just now, i'd think that the closure should maybe be reviewed and further time afforded for debate by way of a relist. I don't take any side on this debate in particular (despite expanding the article), but I can understand the concerns raised by BilledMammal and RandomCanadian respectively. Marcel Rewenig AFD
Hi Fenix down,
Would you be willing to consider reversing your close of the Marcel Rewenig AFD and instead relisting it? I understand that there are significantly more editors supporting "keep" than "delete", but consensus is based on weight of arguments, not the number of votes, and as their arguments were solely on the basis of WP:NSPORT, which states that the article must still eventually provide sources indicating that the subject meets the general notability guideline
I would consider the weight of arguments to be comparable. BilledMammal (talk) 16:35, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
- Apologies Fenix, it appears RandomCanadian and I thought to contact you about this at the same time, resulting in the duplicate discussions. BilledMammal (talk) 16:46, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
- You asked me to do this exact same thing (revert closure and relist) when you didn't agree with my closure of an AFD, BilledMammal. I thought it was about the closure in that particular AFD but maybe this is your standard response when you disagree with a closure. My closure seemed obvious to me but I accommodated your request. Now? I don't know if I did the right thing. Liz Read! Talk! 03:27, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Liz: these are the only two times I have asked for an AFD to be relisted, out of 194 AFD's that I have participated in. It isn't my standard response. BilledMammal (talk) 04:08, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

Filip Borowski
Hello there! Would it be possible to recreate/bring back the article for Filip Borowski? It was previously deleted due to not meeting the relevancy requirements, but since then the player has appeared in I liga, therefore meeting the criteria. Take care! KibolLP - 21:02, 26 February 2022 (UTC)

Marcel Rewenig AFD
Following up on User talk:Fenix down/Archive 20#Rationale (or absence thereof) for Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Marcel Rewenig, I think relisting would be particularly beneficial given WP:NFOOTY, the sole reason support 'keep', no longer exists. BilledMammal (talk) 01:46, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry, forgot to respond on this until now. Given the overwhelming consensus in this AfD I don't think relisting would be beneficial and may well end up in just a big old mess. I'm not saying that because I think that the article should necessarily be kept, but it may end up being difficult to articulate a valid consensus.
- Additionally the article has had further sources added to it since the AfD was closed so arguments now we would be discussing something materially different than before.
- I think it might also look a bit pointy to renominate so soon after as well. In this instance it is probably best just to leave it and revisit in a few months again if you think it is worth it. This is a player with a significant number of caps and some degree of significant coverage even though he played a long time ago, so not really an open and shut case. Fenix down (talk) 00:45, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
- I would disagree there is an overwhelming consensus; an overwhelming number of votes, yes, but that is not the same thing - the reason for the vote was extremely weak previously, as significant coverage was required to be demonstrated and was not, and now has no weight. In any case, relisting isn't a big issue; at worst, we spend a little more time discussing the issue.
- And can you explain why it would be WP:POINTy? I don't think that would apply, as I believe the article should be deleted, rather than nominating it to prove a point. However, if you believe that a quick re-nomination would be an issue then I believe that supports the idea that a relist would be appropriate. BilledMammal (talk) 01:01, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry I think I have made my view clear. Fenix down (talk) 23:57, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

(T301928) - When viewing deleted revisions or diffs on Special:Undelete a back link to the undelete page for the associated page is now present. (T284114)
- Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Procedures § Opening of proceedings has been updated to reflect current practice following a motion.
- A arbitration case regarding Skepticism and coordinated editing has been closed.
- A arbitration case regarding WikiProject Tropical Cyclones has been opened.

New administrator activity requirement
The administrator policy has been updated with new activity requirements following a successful Request for Comment.
Beginning January 1, 2023, administrators who meet one or both of the following criteria may be desysopped for inactivity if they have:
- Made neither edits nor administrative actions for at least a 12-month period OR
- Made fewer than 100 edits over a 60-month period
Administrators at risk for being desysopped under these criteria will continue to be notified ahead of time. Thank you for your continued work.

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jeff Campbell (footballer)
At Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jeff Campbell (footballer) you relisted? Seems unnecessary after the article was improved and 9 consecutive keep votes in the previous 4 days. Even the nominator tried to close the AFD as Keep after only 48-hours. Can you close this? Nfitz (talk) 18:07, 23 April 2022 (UTC)
- No, AfD is not a vote, the strength of the keep votes was terrible from a large number of editors, though not all, prior to the relisting. It certainly looks like there are grounds for GNG, but editors need to focus on that and not number of caps or anything that would have done per NFOOTBALL previously. It looks like we are having a more focused conversation on sources which to me feels like more of a keep consensus, but we will see. Fenix down (talk) 18:36, 23 April 2022 (UTC)
- The focus was on adding references - some meeting GNG. No less than 27 references were added since the AFD. Yes, there were comments about the number of caps in the AFD - not because that turns it into a keep; but because it's inconceivable that an All-Whites player with that many caps over a decade would not have received GNG coverage. How many of those 27 new references did you review? But it's all moot now, as it's been closed again by someone else. Nfitz (talk) 06:34, 24 April 2022 (UTC)
- Or not - I came across this after my comment. WP:AN#Football-related AFDs. What a mess. I also came across the other two AFDs you relisted ... I'm not agreeing on those either - though they aren't as concerning as this one, given the 27 references that were added to this one! Nfitz (talk) 07:32, 24 April 2022 (UTC)
- And now someone has sent it to DRV - WP:Deletion_review/Log/2022 April 24#Jeff Campbell (footballer). Which seems unnecessary to me, unlike the other two. Nfitz (talk) 16:57, 24 April 2022 (UTC)
