Let's get in touch about Francisco Núñez Olivera
What would constitute an acceptable source? A professional historian is currently working with me on writing a book that will accompany the opening of my photographic essay "Generations," it will probably open sometime in November at a major museum, but final details haven't been worked out yet.
The historian is intensely interested in Francisco, as he is from the same village and knows the family well. Last night I sent him a message regarding my research that Francisco may not only be the oldest documented living combat veteran in the world, but in human history as well. He is delighted at this possibility, and is going to work on confirming it, and then feature it prominently in the book.
The Spanish press, including two major media outlets, have already published a half dozen articles on the project. The first phase of "Generations" is finished, I photographed 25 Spaniards 105 or older from 13 different regions, alongside their youngest living descendant/relative.
After August vacation ends, and the second phase of the project nears completion and an opening date is confirmed, media attention is likely to be significant, and I'm sure that both the historian and myself will mention (assuming the historian confirms it to his professional satisfaction) Francisco's unique status in interviews. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.220.186.82 (talk) 08:35, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
- I posted some links to your talk page. Hopefully those will help with what kind of sources can be used on Wikipedia. News articles and books are both acceptable sources. – FenixFeather (talk)(Contribs) 10:10, 3 August 2016 (UTC)

Gulfport, Mississippi - I have a book written by the son of Judge Hardy that states that Judge Hardy founded Gulfport Mississippi, by himself, and later requested funds from Mr. Jones as money expired in running the town. There is no reference to this.
Gulfport, Mississippi - I have a book written by the son of Judge Hardy that states that Judge Hardy founded Gulfport Mississippi, by himself, and later requested funds from Mr. Jones as money expired in running the town. There is no reference to this. There is no mention of the book, or the statutes dedicated to Judge Hardy as the sole founder of Gulfport Mississippi. Mr. Jones came later. I have the book in front of me, but don't have the time right now to correct this article. Sorry. I am a descendant of Judge Hardy - my Great Great Grandfather. - @Jthomp4492: It sounds like you have a conflict of interest. You should read the linked article on conflicts of interest on Wikipedia. Basically, you should propose your changes, along with your source, on the article talk page, rather than editing the article directly. – FenixFeather (talk)(Contribs) 00:18, 9 August 2016 (UTC)
- This is not a conflict of interest, it is incorrect information on the City. So who is going to correct the article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jthomp4492 (talk • contribs)
- It could be a conflict of interest because you are related to him, so it's best to play it safe. Make sure you read WP:COI for full details on conflict of interest. Other editors will be able to see your proposed changes on the talk page. – FenixFeather (talk)(Contribs) 01:03, 9 August 2016 (UTC)
