Links
[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. [1]
I'm assuming that you're the same person that has been warned multiple times for adding these links. While I notice that you've discussed the issue specifically about a single article, this does not mean the link is appropriate for eleven other articles. --Ronz (talk) 17:47, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
RE: External Link to Uzbekistan's photo collection
[edit]Hi. You (or someone with your user name) already added this external link on 15 November 2008: you can verify this by pressing the "my contributions" tab on your user page. The link was subsequently removed by Alaexis here with the edit comment "rv; not really high quality; we've already have a link to commons". Since Alaexis is a senior and very experienced editor of Uzbekistan and other Central Asian topics, there is no reason to go against his decision and restore the external link without a discussion on the Uzbekistan talk page. I hope you understand. I wish you happy and productive editing in the future. --Zlerman (talk) 15:22, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
