Appeal block
[edit]Famouskiwi (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is 2a02:26f7:d190:4000:cffc:8b2:d8cd:13d1. Just using my iPhone Famouskiwi (talk) 20:39, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
Decline reason:
That IP address belongs to Akamai and is a confirmed proxy. You'll need to disable your proxy and wait a full 24 hours for the block to clear. Yamla (talk) 21:14, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Thankyou Famouskiwi (talk) 21:05, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
Heya Yamla, I found the problem - it’s because I’m using Apple iCloud relay (which hides your IP address to prevent tracking, which obviously interferes with Wikipedia) but no prob, I’ll just disable it when using Wikipedia, as Wikipedia haven’t yet figured out a solution for this new feature Famouskiwi (talk) 21:21, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
- Yeap. Wikipedia blocks proxies like the Apple iCloud relay, unfortunately. --Yamla (talk) 21:22, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
