The article Fahim fazli has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. A tag has been placed on Talk:Fahim fazli, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Further edits

[edit]

As part of Wikipedia:Article Rescue Squadron I have visited the page as I noticed it was due for imminent deletion. Knowing that Fahim Fazli was a notable actor in a great number of films, I have put the needed work to save the page at least for now from deletion in the hope that other editors will pitch in to add further info backed by adequate references. Plus on this occasion, I dedicate to you an Afghani German artist I like so much called Arash Howaida. I created a page for the artist on English Wikipedia which was deleted by colleagues. Just that you know you are not the only one. LOL The videos "Layla" and Wahh Wahh plus this adorable Afghan Hazaragi song "Safar" from Dawood Sarkhosh werldwayd (talk) 22:39, 15 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Fahimfazli

I see that your edit was quickly undone; don't take it personally. Even for seasoned editors, Wikipedia's rules can seem complex and difficult to understand; as a new editor it requires an investment of some time and substantial reading to learn the ropes.

First and foremost, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia; you wouldn't expect to open a copy of Encyclopedia Britannica and find an article Albert Einstein wrote about himself, similarly you shouldn't find that here. Everything has to be sourced from a WP:RS (Reliable Source) such as a newspaper or a (non-self-published) book; the whole point is that someone else must have written/published the ideas first and then Wikipedia editors paraphrase and distill that information and reference the source material (I find it helps to think of it in terms of libel protection — if what appears in Wikipedia is a lie or defamatory, etc, then the fact that it comes from another reliable source means that Wikipedia can't be held liable for the statements, the original publisher is). You might be (perhaps are) the same Fahim Fazli that this article is about, or you might be anyone else at a computer anywhere in the world that felt like pretending to be Fahim Fazli so as to make anonymous statements in Fahim Fazli's name. If you wish to make a statement that you want included in Wikipedia, it must be made to a reliable source, printed by them, then paraphrased down to something relevant, meaningful (both today and in future), in essence encyclopedic, before it is added to the Wikipedia article, citing the reliable source that published the information. As a general rule, people should not edit articles about themselves (See WP:Autobiography).

Typically, a short sentence or two that summarizes a reporters comments about a particular film or an actor's career are generally appropriate if what's being said is relevant to the article's topic; conversely, wholesale plagiarism of an entire review of a film or a book about an actor is neither encyclopedic nor lawful. If you review the article about John Wayne, I'm confident (without even looking) that it doesn't contain entire reviews about each of his films or what he had to say about every actor/director/writer he worked with, although it might include a single reference to a particular actor/director/writer/etc that he particularly loved (or hated) working with (I know, for example, that the Maureen O'Hara article includes reference about the professional connection she had with The Duke).

I hope that helps explain why your last edit was so quickly undone. Unfortunately, there don't seem to be any shortcuts to learning the WP editors guidelines short of reading the rules; I suggest you begin with WP:5P to understand the basics and then work your way through the following topic sets:

Welcome to Wikipedia and I hope that you enjoy yourself! Being a WP editor can be an interesting, if occasionally very exasperating, experience.  Wikierroneous 16:39, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Wikipedia does not allow block evasion and doing so usually reduces the probability of being unblocked in the future. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:27, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
