FacultiesIntact, As a mentioned on my talk page, I went ahead and updated the subsidiaries.

I have some comments and questions regarding the infobox and lead:

 • There are no page numbers for the financial information for the infobox and lead from the 2016 SEC 10-K document (hundreds of pages long).
 • The source for the key people looks to be a PR release vs. a secondary source. It's also not formatted in a template, as other citations are formatted.
 • It seems weird to me that the citation tags are not changing but the financial information is changing.–CaroleHenson (talk) 21:06, 22 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
CaroleHenson, thanks again for taking the time to help me out. To answer your questions:
 1. The number of employees is on page 8, the revenue percentage breakdown is on page 7, the Forbes and Fortune info is on page 4, and the shareholder equity is on page 34. Is there a way to include page numbers on citations without generating a new ref for each page number?
 2. Fortunately someone else has already updated the key people with the latest info (Hancock and Miller no longer hold those positions), but I'll try to keep a better eye out for press releases. I'm usually pretty diligent about it, so I'm not sure how I missed that one, but it's moot now.
 3. As for that discrepancy, I made that update myself, per your advice re: small objective edits. The numbers are on pages 33-34 of the 10-K, if you'd like to look them over.--FacultiesIntact (talk) 23:38, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Changed to numbers.–CaroleHenson (talk) 23:55, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi FacultiesIntact,
 1. There are two options: Create separate full citations with the same information and update the page numbers as appropriate... or create a citation in a "Sources" section and use Sfns for the various page numbers.
 2. Great!
 3. I don't understand. I haven't looked yet, but did you add the page numbers to the citations for the financial info?
Basically, I am looking to prove WP:Verifiability of the source information to the content that you're looking to add to the article.–CaroleHenson (talk) 23:59, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi CaroleHenson, sorry for the delay since your last comment! My email notifications have been ending up in my spam folder for some reason. Thanks for the little coding lesson. I broke them out into separate references for each page number. How does it look now?
Also, I'm working on some other, larger edits to the article for the near future. More specifically, I think the latest history subsection could use some cleaning up, and the bailout litigation section has some content that would be more appropriate elsewhere. Would you have time to take a look and help me make sure everything is up to snuff once I get it to a presentable state?--FacultiesIntact (talk) 22:42, 21 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@CaroleHenson: hope you're well. Just wanted to check in if you're still available.--FacultiesIntact (talk) 22:10, 2 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi FacultiesIntact, I will take a look.–CaroleHenson (talk) 00:13, 3 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@CaroleHenson:, I drafted up an updated version of the template, if you've got a minute to look at that as well. It's below, if you don't mind the naked wikicode:
{{Navbox |name = American International Group |title = American International Group |state = {expanded} |bodyclass = hlist |group1 = Key People |list1 = * Cornelius Vander Starr<small> (founder)</small> * Maurice R. Greenberg * Martin J. Sullivan * Ed Liddy * Robert H. Benmosche * Brian Duperreault<small> (Current President and CEO)</small> * Douglas Steenland<small> (Current non-executive chairman)</small> |group2 = Board of Directors |list2 = * Brian Duperreault * W. Don Cornwell * John H. Fitzpatrick * Robert S. Miller * Suzanne Nora Johnson * Douglas Steenland * Ronald A. Rittenmeyer |group3 = Current subsidiaries |list3 = * American General Life Insurance Company * American Home Assurance Company * Fuji Fire and Marine Insurance Company * Lexington Insurance Company * National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, PA * The United States Life Insurance Company in the City of New York * The Variable Annuity Life Insurance Company (VALIC) |group4 = Former subsidiaries |list4 = * Chartis Insurance * ALICO * American General Finance (AGF) |below = }}
Anyway, hope you're in good health, and thanks again for all the help.--FacultiesIntact (talk) 02:13, 18 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

FacultiesIntact,

You asked for my help on the template for AIG. They are much easier than they appear. There is a set of parameters for each group, like "Key People" with bullets under those parameters. You just need to tell me what group needs to be updated and what the values are that should go there. It's probably the clearest if you just tell me all the bulleted links that should go in each group and I can just copy and paste that in.

I am assuming that there is cited content in the article that corresponds to each of the values for the template.–CaroleHenson (talk) 00:06, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
