Re: GreaterGood South Africa

[edit]

Actually the advert reason is because of the content of the article and how it's written, not anything about the organization itself. It was written like it was an advert instead of as an encyclopedia article. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 00:16, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And looking at it, I didn't realize that it was written in your userspace and not in the article space. I'll restore it for now, but it'll probably need to be rewritten. WP:ADVERT has a nice explanation as to what is considered an advert and what isn't. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 00:19, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It still reads a bit like an advert. I would suggest wikilinking as many key words as can, such as non-profit organisation and South Africa. That makes the article look less like it's an advert. Also, see if you can find an outside source that backs up what you are saying such as one of these groups that rates non-profit organizations. The problem right now is that the only sources are from the group's website. You need to show that the group is notable. A good way to do that is to use as sources other groups talking about or mentioning this group. Help:Link and WP:NOTE are a couple of good resources on the site that talk about these 2 things in greater detail. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 07:38, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Once you get those 2 things addressed, I can reword some of the stuff so it reads less like an advert. I know that we have a steep learning curve with this stuff. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 07:41, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
