Now that the copyvios are expunged it's a not a bad little article, if you don't mind me saying; I was actually tempted to pass it into mainspace, but couldn't really justify it without getting the sourvong established first. There's (quite) a few sentences unreferenced (indeed, the whole of the 'Children' section is unsourced), but assuming that you took the information from a reliable source, it shouldn't be difficult for you to give reference them? If you still have the sources, then this can be passed out as soon as that's dealt with. Can you do that? Thanks very much for your work! Cheers, >SerialNumber54129...speculates 16:03, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
- PS, I can tidy up the refs themselves as long as you make clear what they refer too (for instance, we don't "do" 'Virgil and ODNB"- they're two differnt sources, so they're cited separately. But that's just stylistic, we can worry about that once the sources are laid out. 16:05, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
- Hello, Even-tables, and welcome. I tried to find Wadham in the DNB, and found that the index for John points to the article for his descendant Nicholas Wadham. The Nicholas article has several sentences on his ancestor, and they have references. You may wish to cite the Nicholas Wadham DNB article and also track down those old references and cite them directly. However, It looks to me as if the article is good to go. -Arch dude (talk) 21:58, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
John Wadham
[edit]Thank you all very much for your help.
I will try and reference the children if I can, although many of them are only known because of their spouses (e.g. by cross referencing Margery/Margaret Wadham say with her husband the first Baron Stourton).
But I do have a copy of the will somewhere, so I will look tomorrow. The total number of 8 children is confirmed by The historyofparliamentonline article.
I will also take note of other suggestions and then resubmit.
Kindest regards, and thanks to you all. Even-tables Even-tables (talk) 00:00, 7 January 2018 (UTC) Even-tables (talk) 00:00, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
