New huggle 3.1 is going to be released soon
Hi EuroCarGT, we are to release a new major version of huggle, but we did receive almost no feedback from our beta testing team, which you are a part of (see https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Huggle/Members). It would be of a great help if you could download it (if you have windows, all you need to do is getting http://tools.wmflabs.org/huggle/files/huggle3.1.0beta.exe and putting it to a folder where you have installed huggle) and test it. You can always get a help with making it @ #huggle connect!
Major changes:
- Multisite support - you can now log in to unlimited number of wikis in 1 huggle session and get a huge queue of all edits made to these wikis. This is good for smaller projects which gets overlooked often.
- Ranged diffs - you can select multiple revisions and get a huge diff that display all changes done to them.
- Fixes of most of bug reports we had so far
In case you found a bug, please report it to bugzilla: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/buglist.cgi?product=Huggle&list_id=147663 thank you! Petrb (talk) 10:09, 30 July 2014 (UTC)
14:25:58, 30 July 2014 review of submission by Kuleanna
Dear EuroCarGT, I have requested a re-review of the article mentioned. Previously the submission was declined and appeared to read more like an advertisement. However, I am unsure if my improvements have resolved the issue. May I ask for help before the resubmission is started? I understand the importance of neutral point of view and the tone to create an entry in an encyclopedia. Would it be possible for you to point out where/if content should be removed, shortened or improved? Thank you. It seems you have already signed my post.
Kuleanna (talk) 14:25, 30 July 2014 (UTC)
- @Kuleanna: Hey! The draft is properly laid out which is good, we got inline citations and most promotional content have been removed. However the draft needs more reliable sources linking towards the subject. By reviewing the sources, many of them do not mention Language Technology Centre or LTC. The ones that mentions them provide little information on the company. So finding sources which provide significant coverage on the subject is ideal. Best, ///EuroCarGT 16:01, 30 July 2014 (UTC)
- @EuroCarGT:Right, I see. I will look at these references and citations more closely. Thank you.Kuleanna (talk) 16:50, 31 July 2014 (UTC)

Unwelcome
Not you. When you find one of those user pages with a neat little four or five line profile (name, town, address, age or such) with 'Here's my website' or similar, don't bother welcoming it. It's a spambot. Why they do it, I don't know. No-one except a patroller is ever going to see a user page of someone who hasn't edited anywhere else. Possibly no-one's told them. Still, it makes these ones easy to spot. Some of the others are harder. Peridon (talk) 20:10, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Peridon: It's Twinkle who sets welcome templates once I request CSD G11, I need to find a way to unwelcome it. I also detect spambots, linkbots, promotional user pages and etc. so bear with me. Best, ///EuroCarGT 20:50, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
- Good point. You can unclick 'Notify...' in the first or second section of the Twinkle CSD window. (I say first or second 'cos for me the first section is 'tag only or delete'.) Might have to remember to reclick when doing an ordinary one. Peridon (talk) 08:56, 3 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Peridon: I'll try that! It's the first sections to un-notify, admins get a delete-related options to 'delete all redirects' or something like that. Best, ///EuroCarGT 16:42, 3 August 2014 (UTC)
- Could also be done at Wikipedia:Twinkle/Preferences#twinkle-config-section-7. ///EuroCarGT 17:22, 3 August 2014 (UTC)

Removal of Link
Hello
You removed a link on our music page about audiobooks as you stated it does not pertain to our music company. The audiobook link was a link to an audiobook website that is a division of our music company. It was merely showing the different companies under the umbrella of the music company to show growth and size. We would like to have this link back on there. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smg29423 (talk • contribs) 17:58, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Smg29423: Hey! Although it is part of the company, it is not relevant to the Spectra Music Group article itself. External links should be relevant to the article such as listing it's official site and other important links. If you plan to add those links it should be in a separate article for the audio book company once notability exists. Also you should declare a conflict of interest as you state "our company". Best, ///EuroCarGT 19:15, 8 August 2014 (UTC)

Ranavalona III
Can you please help me straighten and crop File:Rasendranoro, sister of Queen Ranavalona III.jpg and File:Razafinandriamanitra, niece of Queen Ranavalona III.jpg? And then change them to black and white. Please make two separate edits" 1. The cropping and straightening and then 2. The black and white.--KAVEBEAR (talk) 16:53, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
Can you please help me change these three images to black and white File:Drawing of Royal School courtyard.jpg, File:Theresa Laanui.jpg and File:Elizabeth Kekaaniau Laanui.jpg? The sepia color is not in the originals. Also the last one might need a better oval crop from [1]. Thank you.--KAVEBEAR (talk) 03:58, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
Talk pages
You've been moving talk pages to user pages. Fine. Can I suggest removing the redirect from the talk page after you've moved it to the user page? That way the warning won't end up on the user page when you tag it. Or just tag the talk page, even. There's not going to be anything to worry about attribution-wise, like there can be with an article talk page (but we delete them anyway...). Peridon (talk) 17:52, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Peridon: Sure, however recently I was told by another admin not to tag talk pages. Best, ///EuroCarGT 17:59, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
- A lot do tag them. Doesn't worry me. Whichever way you're comfortable. Peridon (talk) 18:03, 13 August 2014 (UTC)

WikiProject Good articles Future GAN Backlog Drive
Hello everyone! Hope you've all been having a great summer!
TheQ Editor recently proposed the idea of having another Backlog Drive in either September/October or November/December of this year. For those of you who have participated in the past two drives you know I was the one who organized them, however, come September, this will be my most important year in school so I will not be able to coordinate this drive (if it happens). TheQ Editor has volunteered to be a coordinator for the drive. If any of you would like to co-coordinator, please notify TheQ Editor on his talk page.
If you would be interested in participating in a Backlog Drive sometime before the end of this year, please notify TheQ Editor. Also, make sure to specify what month(s) work best for you.
At the time this message was sent out, the backlog was at 520 nominations. Since May, the backlog has been steadily increasing and we are currently near an all time high. Even though the backlog will not disappear over one drive, this drive can lead to several others which will (hopefully) lead to the day where there is no longer a backlog.
As always, the more participants, the better, and everyone is encouraged to participate!

GA Cup
Hello everyone! We hope you have all been having a great summer!
As we all know, the recent GAN Backlog Drives have not had any big impact on the backlog. Because of that, me (Dom497), Figureskatingfan, and TheQ Editor have worked on an idea that could possibly finally put a dent into the massive backlog. Now, I will admit, the idea isn't entirely ours as we have took the general idea of the WikiCup and brought it over to WikiProject Good Articles. But anyways, here's what we have in mind:
For all of you that do not know what the WikiCup is, it is an annual competition between several editors to see who can get the most Good Articles, Featured Article's, Did You Know's, etc. Based of this, we propose to you the GA Cup. This competition will only focus on reviewing Good articles.
For more info on the proposal, click here. As a FYI, the proposal page is not what the final product will look like (if you do go ahead with this idea). It will look very similar to WikiCup's page(s).
The discussion for the proposal will take place here. Please let us know if you are interested, have any concerns, things to consider, etc.
