Hello Eugenie.solo. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Lowes Financial Management, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Eugenie.solo. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Eugenie.solo|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Vexations (talk) 13:08, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Lowes Financial Management, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello Deb. Much appreciate your comment. Please let me know if the edits I made are fine. Thanks, Eugenie S.

Unfortunately, you haven't removed the external links. Deb (talk) 12:38, 19 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Deb. Thanks for that. I have deleted all the external links I could find. Can you please clarify in case I missed any?

removal of maintenance tag[edit]

In this edit: [1], why did you remove the tag that alerted editors to the fact that the cited source was an advertorial without addressing the issue by providing a better source? Vexations (talk) 15:42, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Vexations, sorry I was not sure how to address the issue in a better way. In this case, I used the quote from an interview for the mentioned newspaper. Fortunately, I found another source stating about historical facts of the company in a more neutral manner. I have already added the new source, however, are there any other steps would you recommend to take to remedy the problem?

Don't use sources that are tagged as advertising by the paper that published them? Vexations (talk) 10:22, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The interview I was referring to includes unique content which is not available in any other sources and describes just historical facts. I do understand your point though, so would removing the fact mentioned there from the Wikipedia article solve the issue here?

Per WP:V: "All material in Wikipedia mainspace, including everything in articles, lists and captions, must be verifiable". Advertisements are not reliable sources. Wikipedia doesn't care what Lowes has to say about itself. Vexations (talk) 11:10, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that, please let me know if the changes I made are acceptable

A tag has been placed on Lowes Financial Management requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

G11, already in draftspace, identical to previously deleted article

Hello, I'm Ferien. I noticed that in this edit to Lowes Financial Management, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Ferien (talk) 11:07, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ferien, thanks for reviewing the page and restoring the missing content. Wikipedia algorithm is a challenge with mysteries for me, so I would really appreciate any suggestions in order to get this page published successfully. As far as the current version of the page has received the Speedy deletion tag, I have doubts if the Award section has the right place to be included in the content.

Speedy deletion nomination of Lowes Financial Management[edit]

Hello Eugenie.solo,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Lowes Financial Management for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
