Thank you for the welcome! Estyxxxx (talk) 11:41, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, good job so far with your additions to the stub. I made a few minor tweaks. What you need to do now is include citations for the Theme section. It can't be unsourced. So glad to see you're taking a shot at editing Eng WP more now! -- Carlobunnie (talk) 16:40, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I'm learning a lot about Wikipedia from your edits (and also improving my English 😉) I tried to include citations but I got stuck. I'm trying now to invest in learning about it. In the meantime, should the "Theme" section be deleted? Estyxxxx (talk) 17:55, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No. It can stay, but if you don't add any of the references where you pulled the information from, or at least one, then someone will likely add an unsourced tag to the section soon. What exactly is giving your trouble with the citations? -- Carlobunnie (talk) 09:19, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I use the kosher internet, so most of the sites are blocked for me and I have no ability to get information from them. (This is why I am translating from the English Wikipedia to the Hebrew Wikipedia, according to the rules in the Hebrew Wikipedia there is no obligation to cite sources when it comes to translation)
By the way, do you have any idea how to get a free picture of Pdogg, to add to the Wikipedia page about him? Estyxxxx (talk) 09:35, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah I see. Regarding the pic, Ïvana can answer that better than I can, because all I remember atm is that it has to be a copyright free photo or one with a license that allows for usage on wikipedia. A screenshot of him from a news video or something might work, but I don't recall the exact WP policy on this to link you to it. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 04:58, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You can read more about image use policy in WP:IUP. I think Btspurplegalaxy knows way more about this than me (I have never uploaded a picture here), so she might be of more help. - Ïvana (talk) 05:40, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I know about it. I had no luck finding any pictures of Pdogg under a Creative Commons license at that time. There's still nothing that can be used for Pdogg at the moment. Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️ 06:41, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you all for the help.
I know it's very complicated to upload a picture to Wikipedia. I saw that the most effective way is to simply ask the person directly for his photo. I know it sounds a bit far-fetched, but everyone is happy to have a normal picture on Wikipedia and amazingly it has worked for me several times already. Do you have a way to contact him? Estyxxxx (talk) 00:17, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's not a complicated process, it's just not possible because there isn't a single picture with a free license. I wish I could, but unfortunately that can't be done. Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️ 02:01, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I’m not sure how to converse in Wikipedia

[edit]

But I’d like to discuss a topic. Please respond and lmk how Chico1112 (talk) 04:39, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Chico1112,
I can discuss with you on this talk page or on my talk page on the Hebrew Wikipedia. If you are interested in contacting me in another way, you can go to my user page in the Hebrew Wikipedia and select the option "Send an email to the user" under "Tools". (I think this option does not exist in the English Wikipedia) Estyxxxx (talk) 17:55, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:52, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
