Application Question

[edit]

So, I gather (from the userpage) you're big in Esh. I hope this Wikipedia thing doesn't hurt my chances for acceptance at all? Bearing in mind I'm not trying to get processed quickly or anything, but simply for the record I sent in an application under Harthan. Name was Cody Bezik. You'll recognize it by how I found out about Esh, of course. Thanks! DoomsDay349 02:45, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing will be held against you. I appreciate you applying. Granted, we are not all that pleased, particularly to be judged as 'Breathtakingly non-notable' by WMMartin, for example, but I suppose we'll get over it. As I mentioned early, the sheer irony of someone affiliated with Wikipedia discovering and applying for admission into the game really defeats the whole 'deletion' argument IMHO. Your application proves the page is relevant and used. -- Eshraval Creator
I know, it's pretty crazy. But the thing is, it might not really, because it's one of the standards of Wikipedia that the site should be notable before making Wikipedia, not having Wikipedia as an aid to gaining notability. But if you want to use me as an argument, feel free to do so. I'm gonna stay neutral in the MFD. DoomsDay349 03:03, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Nah, I'm over it, really. I see your point though. I guess people just disagree about what constitutes 'notability'. But I'm done with this place. And God forbid Eshraval ever does become notable, because I'll be damned if it -ever- winds up here again! :-) -- Eshraval Creator
Lol. Unfortunately, if it does meet notability standards, I dunno if you can stop it getting an article. XD Such is the power of Wikipedia. XD DoomsDay349 03:07, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Since I am own 100% of Eshraval, I will certainly try to keep it off of this place, I assure you. -- Eshraval Creator

Current Eshraval AfD Debate

[edit]

Hi,

Thanks for your contribution to the above debate. You jumped on my "breathtakingly non-notable" comment towards the top of the debate; I've responded to your response on the main debate page, immediately below your first contribution. I used the adverb in much the same way that Douglas Adams used "mind-bogglingly": as an attempt to introduce some lightness into an otherwise dull adjective. I have tried to steer clear of this in my latest response.

Please feel free to contact me any time to discuss this further, or if you think I can give you any other help.

Sincerely,

WMMartin 19:24, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

[edit]

Hey dude, are you Scott Hudson? The guy who founded Eshraval. I joined the current version of Eshraval this summer (Esh 3.1). You seem to be somewhat of a legend. Why did you leave the project? What went wrong? Would you consider coming back?

Cheers! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.190.194.209 (talk) 00:23, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
