Here are potential articles that Group D is considering:

  • Haldane’s rule: we selected this article because it is considered a biology stub article and has technical terminology that we could present in a more reader-friendly fashion
  • sperm competition: this article could potentially be broken up between defensive and offensive adaptations for sperm competition
  • waggle dance: we selected this article because while interesting, it does not present much concrete information and lacks clarity in some areas
  • autothysis: we chose this article because it is considered a biology stub article on a behavior that seems counterintuitive for individual survival

tandem running: we chose this article because it is considered a biology stub and is relevant to animal teaching, as discussed in class Aewells14 (talk) 12:50, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Student Usernames

[edit]

Hello Erm22, I would like to let you know to please have your student create individual usernames, as group accounts are prohibited on Wikipedia.- McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 15:10, 3 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks McMatter. All our students will have individual user names, but for parts of their assignment they will work together to create/edit a single Wikipedia page. For our grading, it would be much easier if we could keep track of them both as groups and as individuals. Is there anyway to set that up appropriately? I have requested some extra help to assist you with the course set-up and Wikipedia policy, as I have no specific experiance with administrating a Wikipedia course and know any username which implies shared use will mostly likely be blocked.- McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 22:59, 3 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
