Lateral sinus thrombophlebitis

[edit]

Hi, just curious if you plan on expanding this article? If it's only a definition it should be on Wikipedia's sister project Wiktionary instead. :) GSMR (talk) 16:25, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lateral sinus thrombophlebitis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.internationalarchivesent.org/additional/acervo_port.asp?Id=471. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa (talk) 22:50, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia style

[edit]

Please take the trouble to look at other articles in Wikipedia, and learn how to present an article. Wikipedia does not use CAPITALS for section headings. Wikipedia does not start the article with a "Definition" heading, nor does it usually use "Introduction" as a section; there should be no section heading at all at the start of the article, the "lead" section. Wikipedia starts almost every article with something like "Lateral sinus thrombophlebitis is a condition with inflammation of inner wall of lateral venous sinus with formation of an intrasinus thrombus." so that the first sentence gives a clear idea of what the article is about. Please also provide links to other Wikipedia articles.

Why are you so determined to write an article in a non-Wikipedia style?

I have cleaned the article up a little now, so please do not go back to your original format.

Draft article

[edit]

Please do not move your draft article to main space yourself. Please tell your classmates as well.

These articles need to be checked thoroughly for compliance with WP policies before they are moved to mainspace - violations of copyright are of particular concern.

I put an WP:AFC tag on the draft article - you can submit it whenever you are ready by clicking the "submit" button on the draft article. After you do, someone will review it, and respond to you. Please make sure there is nothing copy/pasted from any references before you do! We take copyright very seriously. Thanks! Jytdog (talk) 07:31, 24 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
