[edit]

Please do not add citation request +tags to articles, which have citations and references in them from reputable websites, thank you Headphonos 21:51, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • As far as I am concerned all these websites were either breeder websites of websites where you submit your own articles. I have rechecked the websites to make sure I was correct and I was. These are not reputable sources. Ensyc 12:10, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable Sources

[edit]

Hi Ensyc, Thanks for contacting me. I will not be able to help as I'd like until the end of this month due to some other commitments. For now, my short answer is two-fold.

  • 1) No, I personally do not consider molosserdogs a reliable resource. If, and only if, the article contains other truly reliable sources to back up its facts, then www.molosserdogs.com might be an acceptable external link. External links and references are not the same thing. The site you've pointed me to is basically an online forum arena where people can get together to discuss a focused interest. It is not a piece of published, scholarly work and is not even from the popular trade press.
  • 2) It has been suggested to me that for precisely the situation you raise, the best approach may be to begin placing warning messages on the user's talk page indicating that their removal of source tags from other users is considered vandalism. If the pattern does not change, then I would consider filing a ticket at WP:ANI. I will see if I can find an appropriate standard message and place it on the user's page regarding the last article with which I experienced conflict.

Please hold the fort until I can be more attentive to this. Kind Regards, Keesiewonder talk 16:45, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gull Dong

[edit]

I have never heard of this breed. I agree that I think it should be deleted, not only because it is a one sentence article, but they have not even included a breed club website in their referances. Perhaps someone could look into if they have more information about the breed, but I am afraid I am a bit busy at the mo. Blufawn

time/date warp

[edit]

Take a look at the time/date stamp for the notes you've left on my talk page. They're off by almost a year. Is the time/date wrong on your personal computer or is it a Wikipedia thing, I wonder? Keesiewonder talk 23:15, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you're asking whether you should figure out what is happening when you leave a signature, though it may be a tricky task, I think it'll be better for all concerned if that is straightened out. It's nice to have the correct date and time affiliated with your post. It appears the last time you signed my talk page, it left a date/time but not your username. Maybe you've been editing your preferences page? Maybe you're leaving three tildas ~~~ instead of four ~~~~ sometimes?

As for whether you should do something about our friend reporting you on WP:AIV, as an isolated incident, it is probably best to ignore it. A case is building, though. As I understand things, the one who is vandalizing is him, not you. And the place to report either what he did or what you are doing is not WP:AIV. He is building a long list of problematic edits that will fit nicely into what I expect will be eventually posted at WP:ANI. I know of several users who have complaints about this particular user. It's just that none of us have take the time to report him yet. Keesiewonder talk 12:20, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
