WEB[edit]

Please have a look at WP:WEB and WP:N to help with writing articles. Thanks. Tyrenius 09:12, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You've got the wrong idea. It's being deleted because it's simply not a notable web site, regardless of the worth of the concept. There is no verification from reliable sources. Tyrenius 09:22, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blogs are not considered a WP:RS generally. If your site has been reviewed academically or in national media, that would be worth showing. Otherwise, you are likely to be wasting your time writing it. I suggest you get more experience with a range of articles first. Tyrenius 09:29, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

Hi, Thanks for removing our hangon tag and also for editing the article so that it might be more usable. We are trying to promote the color recognition concept (that has been used on FashionIQ). Thanks for the help and we hope we can get further guidelines from the admins here. Ensparc 09:35, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You might want to have a look at these pages, before you continue editing the article – WP:5P, WP:RS, WP:V, WP:CITE, WP:NOTE and WP:NPOV. Regards, — Nearly Headless Nick 09:37, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion notice[edit]

A tag has been placed on FashionIQ, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Seraphimblade 11:45, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Fiq logo.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Fiq logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. This is an automated message from BJBot 14:59, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ensparc. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Ensparc.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Ensparc. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 02:15, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
