Mirrors

[edit]

Information icon Thanks for contributing to the article List of awards and nominations received by Sandra Oh. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Natalie Portman. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Adding photos with questionable copyrights

[edit]

The last two photos you've tried to add to infoboxes appear to be screenshots from Youtube videos, which is likely a copyright violation. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:27, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

July 2019

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Emma Stones", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because It is very similar to Emma Stone and could easily give the impression you are Stone. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 01:56, 14 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I don't feel that my name gives off an impression that I am Stone. The name Emma is widely common around the world as is the last name Stones. I do not feel the need to change something that is widely common and accepted. Emma Stones (talk) 03:44, 14 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The name Emma itself is indeed common. Same goes for the last name Stone (not as sure about plural "Stones"), but how often does one see them used together for anyone that isn't the actress linked above? Probably not very much if at all. Having a similar username to a famous person might raise suspicions about impersonating/representing them. While it might be that neither are the case here, a username change wouldn't hurt regardless. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 04:31, 14 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I have to agree here that a rename is preferable. However, if you wish to keep your current username, please put on your user page that you are not Emma Stone. Thank you, TheSandDoctor Talk 00:43, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
