Welcome

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. To find out how to make useful contributions, take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means, and on Notability (people) for more detail. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted. Follow the links below to learn more:

Notability of Emily Whiteside

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Emily Whiteside requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JohnCD (talk) 12:50, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Clarissa Barha

July 2008

[edit]

The recent edit you made to Gurinder Chadha constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to vandalize pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thanks. Fieldday-sunday (talk) 13:00, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing, such as the edit you made to Louise Rennison. If your vandalism continues, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. JohnCD (talk) 13:03, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as the one you made to Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. JohnCD (talk) 13:05, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why are your articles marked for deletion?

[edit]
  • Because the articles are nonsense. It is easy to check who is really playing each role in "Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging" - see here - and it is not you and your friend. JohnCD (talk) 13:17, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Short block

[edit]
You have been temporarily blocked from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

31 hour block. Should you continue vandalising the encyclopedia once the block expires the next block will likely be of longer/indefinite duration. LessHeard vanU (talk) 13:21, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Final Warning - Wikipedia is not here as a place for you to show off

[edit]

I have reverted your edit to Gurinder Chadha because what you added was just your opinion without any source. Much more seriously, I have reverted your edits to Redemption Hill which seem mainly to have been intended to insert one of your names (Clarissa) into the list of participants in the show, just as you tried earlier to insert both your names (Clarissa and Emily) into the cast-list of Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. Inserting false information into Wikipedia is vandalism, and Wikipedia is not here as a place for you to show off. This is a final warning - if you vandalise Wikipedia again you will be blocked again, for a longer time. JohnCD (talk) 16:52, 28 July 2008 (UTC) [reply]
