Welcome!

Hello, Elysiajous, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!--Biografer (talk) 23:52, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

December 2022

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Elizium23. I noticed that you recently removed content from Red Mass without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Invitation

[edit]

I noticed you have been working on some health-related subjects, so I wanted to invite you to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Medicine. You're welcome to join us if it's a subject area that interests you. It's a good place to ask questions about finding good sources for medical content or writing style. Feel free to put the group's page on your watchlist, or stop by to say hello some time. WhatamIdoing (talk) 23:00, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@WhatamIdoing Thanks! I have listed myself on the Reproductive Task Force but I haven't found their talk page or other page for discussion and organizing efforts. Can you help me get oriented there? Willmskinner (talk) 23:26, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The individual task forces tend to be pretty quiet. Mostly, we all chat at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Medicine. You might also be interested in a couple of the smaller groups, such as Wikipedia:WikiProject Women's Health, Wikipedia:WikiProject Sexology and sexuality, or Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBT studies. We don't have a special group project underway right now, so the best thing to do is to keep an eye on the talk page, so that you can see opportunities to collaborate, and of course to post your own, so that you can find other editors who might be interested in what you're working on.
Speaking of other editors, I think you've encountered Boghog already. Ekem, 97198, and Colin M have worked on some sperm-related articles in the past. Plantsurfer has been involved in Sex, which has struggled the last while with the difference between "how to tell whether this one human is male or female or intersex" vs "these seahorses are conventionally called male because they have the smaller gametes". Omegatron was editing an intersex article last month (no good deed goes unpunished;-) ) , and Peteruetz usually seems interested in one step more abstract. Among newer editors, you might want to meet Haley275 or DashDashUnderscore. Perhaps some of them will be online and say hello, or tell you which article about contraception or sperm they currently think needs the most work. WhatamIdoing (talk) 23:55, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for all the info and the kind introduction! I've watched the talk page for the reproductive biology task force, and I'll think about joining the smaller wikiprojects. Right now getting deeply involved in all of wikiproject medicine seems like a bit too much to bite off for me! Willmskinner (talk) 20:35, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:32, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
