Inappropriate closure
[edit]So you opposed the merger of Roundhouse Hotel into Boston Medical Center, then all of the sudden, you changed your mind after you created another content-fork. You then took it upon yourself to close the discussion after it's only been around for just nearly two days which didn't give people in Wikiprojects Boston and Massachusetts much time to see and respond. Recall your complaint about your complaint about the wording in Mass and Cass and your resistance to wait a few days for others to comment. When someone did finally came and responded, you just abandoned the discussion. I feel your impulsive closure and refusing to allow consensus building is unreasonable. - I made it clear that I opposed a merger because half the article is not relevant to BMC. Then, I thought a way to gain consensus would be to create a solution that would create space for both halves of the article and the many sources about the project to be honored. I feel your expectation to reduce my articles around drug users and homelessness into a sentence or oblivion unreasonable. Elttaruuu (talk) 03:05, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- If we don't agree on something, then we try to get outside input to gather a consensus, which won't always end up your way, or my way, but often meet somewhere in between. This is the whole purpose behind a discussion. Give some time for community input please. Graywalls (talk) 03:19, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- I find it difficult to take advice from someone who tends to only use the "allow time for community input" line when the edits are set to their preference. Your interactions with me have never demonstrated an interest in collaboration, but rather condescension. For example, "BMC is notable enough to merit its own article, I think. The Round House Program, no. Therefore, that should be merged here; or the Roundhouse deleted. Make sense?" That's not really a discussion, that's talking to another user like they're stupid because they do not agree with you. Elttaruuu (talk) 03:27, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- Additionally, your insistance on putting a stabbing in the original article's introduction, adding an undue quote about the "needle strewn" neighborhood, and commitment to calling folks addicts makes me feel that what you want is to POV push Elttaruuu (talk) 03:29, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- BMC is not a temporary stint. It is a medical center with enduring notability. The program's tenancy at the Roundhouse is a temporary stint. Graywalls (talk) 03:30, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- Just like you stated "it is not a sin" to look at my contributions and edit on them, it's not a sin for me to create a more appropriate article to save notable content from being deleted Elttaruuu (talk) 03:33, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
