If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Brad Traversy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Fram (talk) 12:25, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Elsalvacion. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Elsalvacion. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Elsalvacion|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Spicy (talk) 13:21, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Spicy Thank you for your concern and perseverance towards trying to keep Wikipedia as a neutral. However, I am not getting compensated for any work that I have done so far and have no intentions of being compensated. I am all for free information and I have seen a lot individuals doing great things that deserve at least some recognition on what they are doing. I also want to make it clear that I have no affiliation with Brad Traversy or some of the articles that I have posted and edited earlier. In fact, fact Brad Traversy is living all the way in the United States and I am in Asia. We never even exchanged a single message talkless of getting compensation. I must say that I kind of feel offended that this perception towards me, but on the other hand, I understand that it is to keep the platform free from bias. I hope this answers and eases your doubts and I am looking forward to continue contributing on topics that are not even related. Elsalvacion (talk) 13:42, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Spicy How are doing? It has been at least 3 days since I replied to your request. However, I have not got any response or feedback.
I wish you all and best and take care.
Adios. Elsalvacion (talk) 20:00, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Well, your story doesn't really add up. If you have no connection to any of the subjects you have written about, how did you upload this "personal image" of Mariama Gaye as your own work, and how did you add this highly sensitive personal information about her [1] (which, as it happens, is also a flagrant violation of Wikipedia's WP:BLP policy) without a source? Regardless of the reason why you are writing it, if you think that content like Traversy's education and passion for software development have allowed him to create a successful career as a software developer, author, and educator. He is highly regarded within the tech industry, and his work has been recognized for its quality and accessibility. is appropriate for a neutral reference work, there may be a competence issue at play. MIKAs moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, MIKAs, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 11:11, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
