Category:CERN Personalities

[edit]

Category:CERN Personalities, which you created, has been nominated for possible deletion, merging, or renaming. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments at the category's entry on the Categories for discussion page. Thank you. Favonian (talk) 13:31, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, I removed it, for the second time now, from the CERN article. Just think it over: CERN is a company, so a personalities category is not fitting for that article. Debresser (talk) 13:43, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

And I had to do it a third time. Seriously, please take a moment to understand the nature of categorization! Favonian (talk) 13:48, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The canonical reference is Wikipedia:Categorization. Favonian (talk) 13:52, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello User:Debresser, User:Favonian I see that the category Category:Cern personalities that I created few weeks ago hasn't been renamed yet. I was wondering how long it normally takes for things to be normal, so that I have a clearer view.
Thank you very much. Ellipapa (talk) 13:20, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of CERN accelerators

[edit]

Hello Ellipapa,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged CERN accelerators for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 15:18, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Milla Baldo-Ceolin does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! 220 of Borg 15:12, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello user:220 of Borg,

thank you for your instructive comments! I wasn't aware of the Edit summary, I am sorry. So basically I add the fields that I modified followed by a brief explanation. My pleasure to be part of the Wikipedia project! I really admire your work and I hope that I can be at least somehow useful. Thanks again! Ellipapa (talk) 15:29, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No problemo! Yes, just a brief description. The awards were missing from that page because some dimwit removed them in January. I put it back as it was, with the original source. You can re-add the Italian(?) award names if you wish. 220 of Borg 15:33, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I just did, thanks a lot!

Have a nice day!Ellipapa (talk) 15:48, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Vinod chohan for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Vinod chohan is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vinod chohan until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Primefac (talk) 07:58, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Thank you for your comments Primefac! Please, could you also help me change the first letter of the surname (Chohan) as I accidentally typed it without caps lock? Thank you very much in advance! As of the page to be deleted warning, I think the article is relevant to the categories it belongs to. It surely needs further content addition and citation and so on, which I am already taking care of, but to be deleted I think is an exaggeration. Don't you agree? If more correction need to be done, I am more than happy to do so. Just let me know, please!
Have a nice day! Ellipapa (talk) 09:16, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ellipapa, moving/renaming a page during an AfD is problematic, so if it survives then I'll correct the surname capitalization. If you want to voice your opinions on the deletion discussion, please do so at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vinod chohan. Of course, you are more than welcome to continue editing the page, as it may change opinions on the matter of keep/delete. Primefac (talk) 10:06, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Primefac, thank you for giving me directions. I already replied on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vinod chohan. Thanks again for your help! Best, Ellipapa (talk) 10:53, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Dieter Möhl requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ([[User Cahktalk:Cahk|talk]]) 09:05, 26 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Ellipapa: I suggest that you either move the page to draft, or create it in a sandbox before publishing. Remove the tag won't help - other new page patrollers will add the tag right back on as the page is blank.--Cahk (talk) 09:39, 26 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Ellipapa: I have taken the liberty to move the page to draft. Once your page is ready, feel free to move it back to the mainspace for publishing.--Cahk (talk) 09:42, 26 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Cahk: Thank you very much! Ok, I see.. I will have that in mind! I'll do that first for now on..! Thank you very much! Ellipapa (talk) 09:52, 26 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
