Please help me with... I am a Vera Bradley employee (Corporate Communications Manager). I would like to upload some of our company's own images to the Vera Bradley wikipedia page, but every time I try to upload an image I receive an error message because I did not personally take the images (our corporate photographer did). Any suggestions? Thank you!

- @Vbcorpcomm: While I don't think I have a specific answer to your question, editing the Wikipedia Vera Bradley page would probably constitute a violation of Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy and may count as covert advertising - zfJames Please ping me in your reply on this page (chat page , contribs) 17:28, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
- Who owns the copyright for those images, your company or the photographer? Whoever owns the copyright will need to release the images under a free license that allows everybody to re-use and modify them for any purpose, including commercial purposes. You can find a standard release form at WP:Declaration of consent for all enquiries; it will need to be sent via email to permissions-commonswikimedia.org by the copyright holder (see OTRS for more information). If your company and/or the photographer are OK with such a release, you can upload the images directly to the Wikimedia Commons via their Upload Wizard and send the email with confirmation of the licensing and a link to the uploaded images. If the copyright holder is not comfortable with releasing the images under such a license, Wikipedia cannot make use of them.
- Please also note that the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use require paid contributors to disclose that they're paid, and their employer. The disclosure should be done in one of several specific ways; you can find more information on that at WP:COIPAYDISCLOSE and {{paid}}.
- Finally, please note that Wikipedia does not allow shared use of accounts nor usernames that give the indication that it's a shared or "role" account; see WP:ISU for details. Your username violates that policy. Please make use of Special:GlobalRenameRequest to request a change of userame so that it's clear that this is an individual account. Otherwise the account might be blocked from editing. Huon (talk) 18:46, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
