Hello, Elena Thomas, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

You may also want to take the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour that will help you learn the basics of editing Wikipedia. You can visit The Teahouse to ask questions or seek help.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Again, welcome!

Hi Elena -- I will answer your questions here. Your user page is in a separate Wikipedia "space" and casual visitors to Wikipedia are unlikely to find it. However, anyone can see it, if they know where to look. User pages are for yourself to introduce yourself to other editors, to say as little or as much about yourself as you like. I don't think search engines index them any more (they used to) so it shouldn't come up on Google. You can read about them here. As of people following or stalking you -- it does happen, probably not to a majority of users, but it becomes more likely for people who are active in controversial areas, or who work as administrators, so if you are concerned I would recommend not posting a picture of yourself or saying too much of a personal nature. User names can be changed pretty easily, see here. Sometimes if it is a brand new account it may be easier just to make a new one and abandon the old, especially if you are having second thoughts about using your real name. The list of users is here -- you can jump to anywhere in the alphabetical sequence using the "display users starting at" field. Welcome to Wikipedia and have fun!
