[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Eldhorajan92, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 14:39, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

Cut-and-paste moves
[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Baselios Yeldo a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Baselios Yeldho. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Hi there, regarding your recent good-faith edits at Nayanthara, there is a difference between any-old-source and a reliable source. Wikipedia is not interested in what faceless blogs have to say about a subject, because anyone can start a blog and make up whatever they want. We only care what reliable published sources with established reputations for fact-checking and clear editorial policies have to say. This would include established newspapers, established news sites, established magazines, books from established publishers, etc. Please take a look at our guidelines for reliable sources to get a better sense of what may and may not be used. Licensing problems
[edit]I'm unsure whether Vilayil Tharakan Gothram is even notable and I'm afraid a lot of it makes no sense but, worse, you appear to have been copying from, for example, Pakalomattom family without providing any attribution, which is a breach of Wikipedia's licensing. And you've managed to misrepresent what the Pakalomattom article says by being selective in what you copied in order to push what appears to be your own opinion.
You have had a lot of warnings and explanations but do not seem to be improving. Aside from the issues relating to our policies and guidelines, it also appears that your ability to write in the English language, while way better than my ability to write using Indian languages, is not as good as perhaps you think. Indeed, much of what you write is effectively gibberish, sorry. For that reason alone, I suspect that English is not your first language and that you might be better editing (in compliance with their policies etc) at some other version of Wikipedia. The project exists in numerous language forms, including Tamil.
Please note the information below. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 07:40, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

Project News
By Lionelt
Last month's auspicious relaunch of our newsletter precipitated something of an uproar in the Wikipedia community. What started as a localized edit war over censorship spilled over onto the Administrator's Noticeboard finally ending up at Wikipedia's supreme judicial body ArbCom. Their ruling resulted in the admonishment of administrator Future Perfect at Sunrise for his involvement in the dispute. The story was reported by Wikipedia's venerable flagship newspaper The Signpost.
The question of whether to delete all portals--including the 27 Christianity-related portals--was put to the Wikipedia community. Approximately 400 editors have participated in the protracted discussion. Going by !votes, Oppose deletion has a distinct majority. The original Christianity Portal was created on November 5, 2005 by Brisvegas and the following year he successfully nominated the portal for Featured Portal. The Transhumanist has revived WikiProject Portals with hopes of revitalizing Wikipedia's system of 1,515 portals.

Operation Auca was an attempt by five Evangelical Christian missionaries from the United States to make contact with the Huaorani people of the rainforest of Ecuador. The Huaorani, also known as the Aucas, were an isolated tribe known for their violence, both against their own people and outsiders who entered their territory. With the intention of being the first Protestants to evangelize the Huaorani, the missionaries began making regular flights over Huaorani settlements in September 1955, dropping gifts. After several months of exchanging gifts, on January 2, 1956, the missionaries established a camp at "Palm Beach", a sandbar along the Curaray River, a few miles from Huaorani settlements. Their efforts culminated on January 8, 1956, when all five—Jim Elliot, Nate Saint, Ed McCully, Peter Fleming, and Roger Youderian—were attacked and speared by a group of Huaorani warriors. The news of their deaths was broadcast around the world, and Life magazine covered the event with a photo essay. The deaths of the men galvanized the missionary effort in the United States, sparking an outpouring of funding for evangelization efforts around the world. Their work is still frequently remembered in evangelical publications, and in 2006, was the subject of the film production End of the Spear. (more...)

The Mortara case was a controversy precipitated by the Papal States' seizure of Edgardo Mortara, a six-year-old Jewish child, from his family in Bologna, Italy, in 1858. The city's inquisitor, Father Pier Feletti, heard from a servant that she had administered emergency baptism to the boy when he fell sick as an infant, and the Supreme Sacred Congregation of the Roman and Universal Inquisition held that this made the child irrevocably a Catholic. Because the Papal States had forbidden the raising of Christians by members of other faiths, it was ordered that he be taken from his family and brought up by the Church. After visits from the child's father, international protests mounted, but Pope Pius IX would not be moved. The boy grew up as a Catholic with the Pope as a substitute father, trained for the priesthood in Rome until 1870, and was ordained in France three years later. In 1870 the Kingdom of Italy captured Rome during the unification of Italy, ending the pontifical state; opposition across Italy, Europe and the United States over Mortara's treatment may have contributed to its downfall. The Top 7 report
By Lionelt
The big news was the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The Top 7 most popular articles in WikiProject Christianity were:
- Elizabeth I of England – legendary monarch who ushered in the Elizabethan Era over the dead body of her half-sister (#5)
- Henry VIII of England – on his deathbed the last words of the king who founded the English Reformation were "Monks! Monks! Monks!"
- Martin Luther King Jr. – can't wait to see the new US$5 bill featuring the "I Have a Dream" speech
- Seven deadly sins – surprisingly "original research" is not one of the Seven deadly sins
- Mary, Queen of Scots – arrested for Reigning While Catholic (RWC)
- Michael Curry (bishop) – our article says that he upstaged Meghan at her wedding. Did you see her wedding pictures? All I can say is {{dubious}}
- Robert F. Kennedy – when informed that missiles were being installed in Cuba he famously quipped, "Can they hit Oxford, Mississippi?"

List of dates predicted for apocalyptic events. Predictions of apocalyptic events that would result in the extinction of humanity, a collapse of civilization, or the destruction of the planet have been made since at least the beginning of the Christian Era. Most predictions are related to Abrahamic religions, often standing for or similar to the eschatological events described in their scriptures. Christian predictions typically refer to events like the Rapture, Great Tribulation, Last Judgment, and the Second Coming of Christ.
Polls conducted in 2012 across 20 countries found over 14% of people believe the world will end in their lifetime, with percentages raging from 6% of people in France to 22% in the US and Turkey. Between one and three percent of people from both countries thought the apocalypse would be caused by zombies or alien invasion. (more...)

... that the first attempt to build the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra resulted in the demolition of the nearly completed structure?
Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral is a Gothic Revival three-spire cathedral in the city of Cork, Ireland. It belongs to the Church of Ireland and was completed in 1879. The cathedral is located on the south side of the River Lee, on ground that has been a place of worship since the 7th century, and is dedicated to Finbarr of Cork, patron saint of the city. It was once in the Diocese of Cork; it is now one of the three cathedrals in the Church of Ireland Diocese of Cork, Cloyne and Ross, in the ecclesiastical province of Dublin. Christian use of the site dates back to a 7th-century AD monastery, which according to legend was founded by Finbarr of Cork. The entrances contain the figures of over a dozen biblical figures, capped by a tympanum showing a Resurrection scene.

When God Writes Your Love Story: The Ultimate Approach to Guy/Girl Relationships is a 1999 book by Eric and Leslie Ludy, an American married couple. After becoming a bestseller on the Christian book market, the book was republished in 2004 and then revised and expanded in 2009. It tells the story of the authors' first meeting, courtship, and marriage. The authors advise single people not to be physically or emotionally intimate with others, but to wait for the spouse that God has planned for them.
The book is divided into five sections and sixteen chapters. Each chapter is written from the perspective of one of the two authors; nine are by Eric, while Leslie wrote seven, as well as the introduction. The Ludys argue that one's love life should be both guided by and subordinate to one's relationship with God. Leslie writes that God offers new beginnings to formerly unchaste or sexually abused individuals.

A Song for Simeon, is a 37-line poem written in 1928 by American-English poet T. S. Eliot (1888–1965). It is one of five poems that Eliot contributed to the Ariel poems series of 38 pamphlets by several authors published by Faber and Gwyer. "A Song for Simeon" was the sixteenth in the series and included an illustration by avant garde artist Edward McKnight Kauffer. The poem's narrative echoes the text of the Nunc dimittis, a liturgical prayer for Compline from the Gospel passage. Eliot introduces literary allusions to earlier writers Lancelot Andrewes, Dante Alighieri and St. John of the Cross. Critics have debated whether Eliot's depiction of Simeon is a negative portrayal of a Jewish figure and evidence of anti-Semitism on Eliot's part.

[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Syriac Orthodox Archbishop of Jerusalem; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Elizium23 (talk) 05:04, 25 October 2020 (UTC)

My revert based on adding reference or any other information, grammatical mistake to improve content. Already, Iam including to increase content with ref. Quotes to be provided when you use google books/PDF docs as references
[edit]With the discussion with you in Talk:List of Malankara Metropolitans#Query on the edit in Introduction, I felt there is no direct mention of the topic in referenced google books you added as supporting evidences . I already expressed it there and also on another section in same talk page Talk:List of Malankara Metropolitans#Quotes Missing for the references. Multiple times I requested you to use the "|quote" option to give remarks/mention you used from online books(google books)/PDF documents which you are using for references to edit Wikipedia articles. This is required for other editors and readers to confirm two things : i> is there such a mention of the topic? ii> is the mention actually related to the topic? But you are not ready for quoting remarks using "|quote" option and keep on adding some google books as references and engaging in edit war. If you say I am giving the quotes in Talk pages as per request, that is not sufficient, if you are quoting an online books/PDF docs, quotes to be added in references in article itself for ready references for anyone reading it, it is not possible to read entire google books to find which quotes you have used for each and every edit. -John C. (talk) 04:44, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
- Johnchacks, I think part of the problem is that his English is not good so he may not actually be able to read the books adequately in the first place. WP:CIR applies. Elizium23 (talk) 08:29, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
Elizium23, guess that attributes 25 to 50% of the problem. Another 50% of the problem, this user deliberately wanted to push POVs in to topics related to Churches in Kerala, Syriac Christianity etc. Thats my view. I just checked a small portion his edits in other article Catholicos of the East and surprised to see this user had used the info from a Church website on the rift between this Church and another Church. That means this user largely depends on the views of one Church on historical events. Again this user quoted some online documents which are not supposed to use in Wikipedia or any encyclopedia platforms (Example: https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/read/33910958/2002-parumala-association-a-facts-malankara-syriac-voice 2002). This doc does not have author/publisher details - not even able to understand whose views are listed in these docs. Going trough each of his edits in hundreds of articles, examining every reference is a very hard and time consuming task. I feel only option I left out is to select one of such articles, revert this user's edits completely, then monitor the edits he makes in the article. -John C. (talk) 01:56, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
Elizium23, John C., Iam added page number in all reference. Some of reference added for clarence of what happens?. The another problem is whole pages of wikipedia carried by Malankara Orthodox faction or who support the Malankara Orthodox Church like John.C Eldhose Talk 02:53, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
- Funny response. Any way please understand any one can edit Wiki, even anonymously, but the problem with your edits are they are not neutral in first glance only. Lot of copy pastes from some church websites and hence the language/wordings in the wiki article also becoming biased towards one side. You can add the a church's view on the event or a position/title, but that should be clearer to the user. Also you can not use only one faction's/party's/church's views throughout the article. -John C. (talk) 04:36, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
One of content in Catholicos of the East is foreign Patriarch's claim to secular authority over the Indian Church, its dioceses and parishes led to a rift what the sense of this? As per claudius Buchan and Mulanthuruthy Synod, Malankara Syrian Church under Patriarch Of Antioch and Malankara Metropolitan is the Metropolitan of Syriac Orthodox Church before 1911. The other fact is they are doing with out any reference! Eldhose Talk 03:12, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

Decline reason:
I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 19:57, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
Give a good reason for your unblock
As a user requesting to be unblocked, it is your responsibility to tell clearly and briefly, in easily readable English, why your block violated Wikipedia's blocking policy. Specifically:
Keep it short. Administrators will often say no to read requests that are too long. Be kind. The use of profanities, ramblings, ALL CAPS SCREAMING and personal attacks will lead to the decline of your unblock request without further review of your changing history. The block duration may also be extended. Say what is wrong with your block. It is not enough if you just say that the block was "wrong" or "unfair". You must explain why it was wrong, and why this means that the block has broken our blocking policy. Address the block reason. As explained above, you have been informed about the reason for your block. You must address this reason in your request. This means that you must either explain why the block reason does not apply to your case, or you must convince the reviewing administrator that you won't do it again. Give evidence. If you state that you did or did not do something, please provide a link in the form of a diff if possible. Don't behave like you think lawyers do. Unblock requests are unacceptable proceedings. A ban or block is a removal of your privilege to change Wikipedia. Any legal right you may have to freedom of speech does not stop us from enacting and enforcing our own policies and guidelines. We may also check which IP address you change from, and which other accounts use it, where this is necessary to prevent abuse. Do not threaten legal action, either. Such threats may, by themselves, result in an indefinite block or evenly, a ban.Eldhose Talk 08:20, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
