Elaine Weeks, good luck, and have fun. --MarB4 •ɯɒɹ• 18:57, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Elaine,

Please do not post links to your books inside of wikipedia articles. The way you edited the page of Bert Weeks to link back to your publications is not in the spirit of the Wiki. One of the most frowned upon things in Wikipedia etiquette, however, is to edit one's own page. While you did not necessarily do this, you certainly highjacked the page of your father in order to promote yourself. When you garner enough clout to merit your own Wikipedia page, feel free to alter that, but remember to follow Wikipedia etiquette. Please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest as well as Wikipedia:plain and simple conflict of interest guide, specifically The section on principles of Wikipedia

>Wikipedia is for reference, not marketing

>Source, cite, and inform rather than sell or promote

"Editors with a COI, including paid editors, are expected to disclose it whenever they seek to change an affected article's content. Anyone editing for pay must disclose who is paying them, who the client is, and any other relevant affiliation; this is a requirement of the Wikimedia Foundation. COI editors should not edit affected articles directly, but should propose changes on article talk pages instead."

"Do not edit articles about yourself, your family or friends, your organization, your clients, or your competitors."

Thanks
