[edit]Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Edit-warring at RT (TV network), please respond there--Ymblanter (talk) 18:19, 3 June 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Jc3s5h. Your recent edit(s) to the page Julian calendar appears to have added incorrect information, so it has been removed for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Giving a date as a year and then the number of the day within the year is not the Julian calendar. Please read the article before editing it. Jc3s5h (talk) 14:06, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
- This is interesting because the entire point of my edit was to add a reliable source (The Independent). I am under the impression that the editor in question considers the Julian Calendar to fall under time which is a matter of physics and therefore we should follow SciDef which suggests that people don't use mainstream news sources. I thought that the Julian Calendar was a generic matter and therefore any RS would do. El komodos drago (talk to me) 15:11, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
If this false information is not reverted immediately administrator intervention will be sought. Jc3s5h (talk) 14:29, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
- This bit is interesting as I took to heart the comment in the change history (which at the time I considered to be very useful). Evidently, they thought otherwise about my edit. El komodos drago (talk to me) 15:11, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
- Please be review Wikipedia:Sock puppetry and insure you are in compliance with that policy.
- This is the strangest bit of all. Evidently, I have a mysterious wiki doppelganger but unfortunately, Jc3s5h didn't seem to be able to tell me who it was. El komodos drago (talk to me) 15:11, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
Praise
[edit]Thank you for putting that discussion out of its misery. Very nice when someone's willing to step up once a conversation starts spinning in circles (and to little end). Jlevi (talk) 16:37, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
