Speedy deletion nomination of Twister Mania
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Twister Mania, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sparthorse (talk) 21:21, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Your addition to http://majescoentertainment.com/games/kinect-for-xbox-360/twister-mania/ has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Sparthorse (talk) 21:53, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
- Just a note in reply to your comments on the talk page—the main reason this was deleted is because it was, largely, lifted from a copyrighted source. You seemed to have changed a few words here and there, but there are still possible legal issues. See wp:CLOSEPARAPHRASE. Please feel free to start this article afresh, but please don't use any language from a copyrighted source—only link to them. thanks, ErikHaugen (talk | contribs) 00:15, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
Hello. You have a new message at ErikHaugen's talk page.
[edit]Hello. You have a new message at ErikHaugen's talk page.
I imagine that telling you that I actually wrote the copy on that Majesco site doesn't help my case at all does it?
Is there a way for me to access the version deleted? I worked hard on all of the inernal and external links and formatting them correctly. I'd like to at least use that to pull from.

- Actually, that makes it worse, since it becomes clear you have a conflict of interest which makes it hard for you to write a neutrally worded article. You can ask the administrator who deleted the article for a copy of it (i.e. User:ErikHaugen). Best, Sparthorse (talk) 14:54, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
- To say you own it, please see Wikipedia:Donating_copyrighted_materials. I don't know the particulars, of course, but I imagine that the company, and not you, owns the copyright, which may make this harder. It is almost surely a better idea to start from scratch than to donate an advertisement. WP:G11 still applies. Wikipedia is not a place for you to post advertisements for your products. And Sparthorse makes a good point, it is extremely poor form to write about a subject you are connected to. ErikHaugen (talk | contribs) 17:06, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
