some argue

[edit]

I have moved Some argue to User:Einsidler/Some argue, mainly under the avoid self-reference rule. It may be accepted in the Wikipedia: namespace. But no-one is ever going to read it unless you create links to it, eg. from Wikipedia talk:Neutral point of view. -- RHaworth 17:50, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

just curious

[edit]

I was wondering... how did you notice my uploaded pictures so quickly yesterday? I hadn't even posted them to an article. You were quick! -- Onecandleprovideslight 12:17, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding ED, please see: Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/MONGO#Links to ED, they are no longer allowed here as they have been posting some rather defamatory harassment articles about several Wikipedians. I have removed a link from your user page and one from The Game (game), thank you.--Konst.ableTalk 05:08, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not every article on ED is attacking anything. I'll leave the link out of the talk page as I see that even The Game (game) is serious business on wikipedia, but I'm not having links removed from my userbox because of some retard having sand in his vagina about a few articles. kthxbi --Einsidler 06:54, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • Is that a personal attack? If so, care to come forward and discuss who you are attacking?--MONGO 06:56, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
      • The fact it only took you 2 minutes to jump on this talk page is very amusing. Basing official site policy on some demented view of a website seems pretty retarded to me. Purhaps it would make sense to actually read the articles being linked to before removing links. Less than half ED has anything offensive to any particular person, and IMO the policy should just apply to those articles. --Einsidler 07:08, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
        • It is obvious that you are an editor at ED...and you state clearly on your userpage that you prefer that website. Since your edits here are not much better than the average troll, I'll give you one hour to remove the links you have posted above, or I will block you in accordance with the above mentioned arbcom decision. Up to you.--MONGO 07:15, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
          • My edits here are mainly minor formatting and gramatical corrections. As I stated somewhere, I am a wikivandal, but do not vandalise Encyclopedia Dramatica or Wikipedia because they are useful sources of information. What I really want is for there to be some kind of peace between the wikis, but as it is clear that is never going to happen, I'll remove the few links I placed to ED and go back to occational formatting corrections. I don't really care that much about wikipedia, its your coolaid, you may as well enjoy it. I'm going to gb2wikia and screw up some articles. --Einsidler 07:24, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good to see...what I would prefer is that you instead rethink the reasons why you would edit at ED at all when so much of their website spins vitrolic bigotry and it has become increasingly hard to keep a job when employers have some much access to places you edit, even in your free time...sorry, that stinks, but it is becoming a big deal....things can come back to haunt you in this day and age. Best wishes.--MONGO 07:39, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Microsoft Zune Logo.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Microsoft Zune Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Quarantine (Red Dwarf).jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Quarantine (Red Dwarf).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 09:34, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:Einsidler/Some argue requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. MfD nomination of User:Einsidler/Some argue

[edit]

User:Einsidler/Some argue, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Einsidler/Some argue and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Einsidler/Some argue during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 23:23, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
