Sorry I don't know how to talk on this page. I am trying to reply to your questions. In any case, here are my reasons. When I read this article, I don't get the feeling that this page has been written from a Western European point of view. It seems though the article has been written from an American point of view. American society is deeply rooted in the fear of the unkown. "Fear of the black man" and fears of people living in lands far from the USA are some examples. Further, in the United States, skin culture is associated to the definition of culture as opposed to beliefs based on value systems and traditions and history.
