Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Case of the Late Pig, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page First person (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:16, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve L'Auberge rouge (short story)

[edit]

Hi, I'm Boleyn. EdmundT, thanks for creating L'Auberge rouge (short story)!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please add your sources.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Signing edits to talk pages

[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you.

Sorry for the "templating", as I see you started editing in 2005, but as you've only posted 5 edits to talk pages so far I thought this would be helpful wbm1058 (talk) 12:36, 26 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi EdmundT! You are receiving this message because we've noticed your excellent edits on cue sports-related articles. We need your help at the cue sports WikiProject! There is much work to do, so please head over to the project page and help us enhance and increase the coverage of video game related articles on Wikipedia!

I see you have been making edits for Shane Van Boening on tournament articles. Are you interested in Cue sports, or editing spelling/grammatical errors? Either way, thanks for your help. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 22:24, 1 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Lee Vilenski: I do not know much about cue sports, but I have seen that Shane Van Boening often shows up on the "Database reports/Linked misspellings" page, because of the lower case 'v'. So as a result I have made the appropriate change from time to time. Edmund (talk) 22:46, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Adieu (short story) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Adieu (short story), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. A small request

[edit]

Greetings,

Lately you seem to have made some minor edits in article Women in the Ottoman Empire. Presently I am working on Draft:Avret Esir Pazarları (women slave trade and markets in Ottoman times) which still has scope for more content. Since you seem to be a good reader and by any chance if you have any reading on the subject and may be you can add some inputs etc. to the article, if you find topic interested in.

Thanks and regards

Please comment on this RfC

[edit]

I support that "vs" replace "vs." and "v" in boxing match titles.

However, to get consensus on this issue, I've opened an RfC on the issue.

Please comment and offer your opinions on it.
