A tag has been placed on User:MPI intern, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Disclosure of employment

[edit]
Information icon

Hello MPI intern. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:MPI intern. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=MPI intern|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 18:31, 18 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock account for intern with no intention of promotional advertising or copy writing with bad intentions

Request reason:

Hi, I am an intern for a company called MPI and began constructing a page for the company as part of a project. I unintentionally copy and pasted some words from the company's website and used links to their website to the page. The page was flagged for promotional advertising and I was blocked. After carefully reading the guidelines for creating a page, I did not read carefully enough and misunderstood that no content could be copy and pasted as it would be considered copy writing and I also now understand that I cannot link the company's website to the content. I am now much more informed and educated and would like to start a new page without sounding promotional. I was assigned this project by the company and now that I am blocked I can no longer work on the project. I would please request to be unblocked and will no longer violate these conditions. Thank you for considering me. MPI intern MPI intern (talk) 16:32, 19 July 2019 (UTC) MPI intern MPI intern (talk) 16:32, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

No, thanks. We aren't interested in what company representatives have to say about the company. If you wish to write about something else, something for which you have no conflict of interest, convince us you understand and will abide by WP:COI, tell us what you plan to write about instead, and pick a username which complies with WP:USERNAME. Thanks! Yamla (talk) 16:37, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

[edit]
Thank you I understand how I was a conflict of interest and I accept full responsibility for my actions although it was with no intent to advertise or promote the company. I did not read the guidelines prior and will not ever make this mistake again if I am unblocked. If I am unblocked I will create a new account with a username not associated with any contributions but my self and I will only make edits to articles I do not have a conflict of interest with. I would like this account to be deleted and the IP/ account be unblocked so employees in this company can make edits to Wikipedia. Request reason:

I understand why I was blocked and will no longer edit articles or create articles for a company in which I am a conflict of interest for. I wish to be unblocked and will delete this account indefinitely. I wish to be unblocked so the IP address is unblocked as this IP is associated with hundreds of computers in this company. Procedural close of a redundant duplicate unblock request. See below. JamesBWatson (talk) 20:58, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
