Texas Syndicate

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you were the original creator of the Texas Syndicate page and contributed most of the content on that page. Your contributions are appreciated, but please do not simply copy and paste whole sentences/paragraphs/lists from other pages. The purpose of citing references is to indicate, and give credit to, the source of a particular fact. It's not appropriate to copy and paste another person's writing unless you're citing a direct quote—which would need to be placed inside of quotation marks. Please take the time to read, process, and then articulate the information from those references in your own words.

Also, proper citations can be easily created using the citation templates. Feel free to use these when citing your sources; they are a huge timesaver.

I hope I did not come off as too harsh or critical. Your contributions are deeply appreciated; they just need to be done with a little more care to Wikipedia's guidelines. I know these rules can be a bit overwhelming at first, but they're necessary to maintain a quality standard on Wikipedia. Personally, I had most of my early writeups on E2 nuked when I first started contributing there myself.--Subversive Sound (talk) 06:20, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
