How does "edit summaries" for movies work?

[edit]

What would I put into the edit summary section when I edit pages for films? Say I alter the infobox and add countries of origin or add image-sizes? EdenCole (talk) 05:45, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Basically, you just put in the summary a brief but clear description of what you did : say for what you said above, you could put alter infobox + add countries & resize imgs or something of the kind. See also Help:Edit summary#How to summarise for proper instructions. benzband (talk) 09:26, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Do not add films to this category unless a verifiable source in the article states that such categorization is applicable. ---RepublicanJacobiteTheFortyFive 17:08, 1 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Naked Lunch (film) does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Hebrew Hammer, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Mohammed Ali and Tiny Tim (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]

Hi, could you please start providing edit summaries for you edits. While they are not strictly enforced it does make collaberation easier if other editors can see the thinking behind your edit. Also, in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King article you changed the style of English from British to American, for Tolkien related articles we use British English, please keep this in mind when checking spellings. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
