Close paraphrasing wiki-essay and cases

[edit]

Hi, I am going to ask the same all the major contributors to wiki-essay Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing, and since you contributed the most text, I am asking you first. I was wondering if you are still interested in matters covered in the essay, and if you are, would you be interested in looking at one interesting case - if you would, I would then present you with the specifics.--౪ Santa ౪99° 18:51, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Santasa99, I don't recall contributing to that essay so I wouldn't be able to help you. Thanks for asking, ✨ Ed talk!19:17, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the speedy reply. Yeah, you did something there :-), but maybe long time ago, but never mind, i will seek solution at Wikipedia:Copyright problems. Thanks.--౪ Santa ౪99° 19:21, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Santasa99, looks like I was only reverting some vandalism where some people blank pages back in my early wiki days. That looks like a good place to start for help :) ✨ Ed talk!19:39, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, most likely, cheers.--౪ Santa ౪99° 19:53, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Templates used by RedWarn indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read! @Liz, FYI this is a maintenance category as noted by the notice at the top of the category page and it may sometimes be empty due to template changes ✨ Ed talk!15:53, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your Message Title

@PAVLOV, as per the notice at the top of the page please direct all queries to WT:RW. ✨ Ed talk!12:06, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop mass messaging via script

Hi, you've sent a load of mass messages to people's talk page, each time pinging Chlod — why didn't you opt to request a mass message? ~TNT (talk • she/her) 23:29, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @TheresNoTime, I'm using the send message option in UV, subst'ing my sandbox and selecting people manually who may be interested prior to making and it's not automated (UV doesn't have that option unlike RW and I am aware that it is a violation of the bot policy) which I prefer to do in small batches prior to sending mass messages to people who may not be interested, stopping as soon as I got your message. Every person that has been left a message I picked and checked manually - didn't mean to ping Chlod though, rather link and when testing on my own instance substing a user link didn't ping, so if I did spam you that was not intentional :( ✨ Ed talk!23:38, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The goal is to add some information and make discussions look visibly different from encyclopedia articles. You can see some ideas at Wikipedia talk:Talk pages project#Prototype Ready for Feedback.
