Removing the FC
[edit]Hi there, I saw your recent edits to a variety of MLS clubs. These clubs specifically use the "FC" in their names. It's treated as the clubs nickname. While many clubs worldwide omit them in general use, North American clubs specifically keep them. For example, Toronto FC, NEw York City FC, etc are always referred to with the FC and never without it. RedPatchBoy (talk) 02:03, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Vancouver Whitecaps FC does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Disambiguation link notification for October 20
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup squads, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Diego Martínez. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in FIFA U-20 World Cup, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Achmad Rachmani (talk) 09:55, 25 November 2023 (UTC)

Oscar v. Óscar
[edit]Hello. Why are you changing the accented "Ó" in article titles and content to unaccented "O"? Wikishovel (talk) 19:08, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- In Argentina the name Óscar does not have the accented Ó, due to the name being pronounced like [oskár], they seem to be the only country country in latin america along with the 3 caribian nations of DR, Puerto Rico and Cuba to be the exception of the name not being Óscar. So in Argentina the name is Oscar. EcuadorianEditor827 (talk) 19:42, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- OK, have you got some reliable sources to verify that? Wikishovel (talk) 20:13, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
