Oncorhynchus

[edit]

Your recent edit to Oncorhynchus removed the section on species. This may have been unintentional. If it was don't worry, it has been reinstated. The section you added has been removed. You included sources, but they are incomplete and not formatted in a manner so they can be readily located. --Epipelagic (talk) 22:48, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing the species section from Oncorhynchus, and please give a reference for the statement that there are seven species instead of fifteen.--Mr Fink (talk) 21:07, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your contributions, EcoWiki. You've clearly done a lot of work, and my initial impression is that you have contributed useful material. A couple of questions... Did you mean to remove the existing species list yet again, or was that an error? If it was intentional, you really need to explain to other editors why you think the list should be removed. The best place to discuss matters like this is on the articles talk page. The second question arises from your account name, EcoWikiGroup13. Are you in fact a group of editors, students perhaps on assignment? --Epipelagic (talk) 22:07, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits

[edit]

Hi. You appear to be a group of students editing Wikipedia as a part of a larger educational project. So far, you seem to be doing fine, so well done! However, your instructor doesn't appear to have contacted anyone in Wikipedia before launching this project. Would you please refer your instructor to Wikipedia:Assignments for student editors, and read the relevant parts yourselves. Also, it is good idea to respond to Wikipedia editors and answer their questions when they try and communicate with you. Thanks. --Epipelagic (talk) 04:27, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Is this a group account?

[edit]

Hi and welcome to Wikipedia. You should know, however, that group accounts are not permitted under Wikipedia policy. As such, if this is an account shared by more than one person, can I suggest that you each get separate accounts and close this one down. If not, it is liable to be blocked. --jbmurray (talkcontribs) 21:18, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please use the talk pages

[edit]

Hello new editor(s). WIkipedia is above all a collaboration. It is important to use the talk pages, and to reply to messages that are left for you. I would urge you to make an effort to start replying asap. As was already pointed out, you are in danger of being blocked if you are indeed a group account; now is the time to start explaining what you are doing. You might also explain on your user page who you are and what you represent. We very much appreciate your efforts to improve the encyclopedia, but on Wikipedia you need to be able to work as part of the community, and civility is one of the essential parts of the project, therefore it is necessary that you take the time to start responding. Best wishes to you, Invertzoo (talk) 12:51, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
